The Workshop should include an option to craft 1 monocrystal from monocrystal shards.
1 monocrystal requires 4 monocrystal shards to be constructed in the Workshop.
Why such a suggestion? I just realized that developers were actually giving away too much monocrystals.
With this suggestion a 50% monocrystal bonus is actually possible. Such issue should be addressed and corrected.
Open Space daily monocrystal missions: x 3 (no bonus, +50% bonus)
basic account: 3 x 4 monocrystal shards = 12 monocrystal shards (3,0 monocrystals - no bonus)
premium account: 3 x 6 monocrystal shards = 18 monocrystal shards (4,5 monocrystals - 50% bonus)
To craft or manufacture 1 monocrystal from 4 monorcrystal shards you need 50000 credits.

It seems more like you’re pissed this isnt the same game we were playing together 2 years ago and recent updates have irritated you even more with the economy changes.
Although back in the day this suggestion would have been acceptable, now even I am gonna have to say no. This would just be one other resource to be in the way of gaining new parts and ships and modules. Also this would render the new addition of monos from PvP/PvE completely pointless as the less rare new resource would simply push their drop rate even further down, as well as everything else we actually want.
Considering all the quests for monocrystals this might not be the worst idea. Grind a bit, and you will have 50 monoctystals per week (!). I’m sure developers wouldn’t like this. Of course, I’d like to have so many monocrystals, but I’m not grinding for that. The problem I think is, that the grind for causal players has increased tremendously, yet for players who are willing to grind all day, has been decreased.

Let’s just say that I am simply helping them achieve their goal even faster and in a better way. This isn’t a crime or offense. I really like this game! It’s just my opinion anyway.
Good thing about this is that developers will probably do it. It is wrong that you get a 100% bonus to monocrystals, when it should be a 50% bonus. That’s why monocrystal shards are needed.
Still, to avoid thinking that I am really trolling, I will just explain my suggestion a bit more.
Loot drops, like monocrystals, should remain as a whole piece in the looting screen. Looting mechanics shouldn’t change or alter in any way.
However, Open Space mode needs to add such monocrystal shards, especially in Alien sectors, where there are Ultuites.
You should only be able to get them from such resources and the loot chance from those should be quite common.
So, if you think about this, you will realize, that you will actually not necessarily get less, but the same amount, if not even a bit more.
