Mission for killing 15 large cristalyd in PB - 42

Hi everyone,

I’m stuck on Step 14 (“Get the large ones” / in-game title “Hunting the Large”) of the Return of the Precursors chain. The objective is to kill Large Crystallids at PB-42 (currently showing “Crystallids destroyed: 0/10” for me).

The problem: I’ve personally killed several Large Crystallids at PB-42 (I was alone in the instance, so kill credit isn’t the issue), but the counter never moves from 0/10.

What I’ve already tried:

  • Confirmed the killing blow was mine (solo instance)
  • Forced a brand new instance of PB-42 (hangar + server preference change + wait)
  • Fully restarted the game client
  • Checked there’s no other mission overlapping/being tracked
  • Looked for an option to abandon/reaccept the step - couldn’t find one for this campaign mission

Has anyone else run into this specific issue? Any idea if this is a known bug, or if there’s something else I might be missing? Happy to post a screenshot if it helps.

Hi, you need to use a specific ship for the step.

The ship required is the “Phobos”. Hope that helps.

do you need the same ship Phobos for each step?

The riddle steps will mention a ship via cryptic clues if one is needed. I’ve been logging each step elsewhere for tips. Just kind of haven’t done it on here since kinda lazy.

So far it’s Phobos then Kite-M and then any ship for the third riddle step.
