Tier IV and tier V Mark 5 blueprints won’t vanish.
Only the weapons will.
They should not vanish!
Mark 1, basic version of weapon for tier III, IV and V will disappear only, right?

Why would the weapons vanish? they are permanent, if it wasn’t the case they wouldn’t be upgradeable like xmas weapons last year.

But I know this. Problem is, that people think that they will NO LONGER be able to buy it AFTER the event!
Weapons in our possession will be ours. Problem is what happens AFTER. Same issue for the blueprints…

I could interpret it quite in a few ways.
And In general, to think that something like that with such great possible effect on balance, would be only temporarily limited only during short period of time… Even “event” NuX became a DLC, even though not exactly in public access, it is still available.
Investing time into designing the idea, creating model, animations, implementing and coding it, creating event for them, this is all cost devs moneys, this is not a mere unique ship skin to have limited time offer on it. I don’t know if or when or how it will be available or not, but i doubt it will be locked up to those who finished these quests at the end, who knows, maybe we get something related on christmas or something.
Weapons are not the same as ships. That kind of functionality needs to be universally available.
They need not be purchasable immediately after the event is over, but it should definitely happen at some point.
I don’t know, Kosty. Aliskosan is pretty fluent with English, and the word ‘purchaseable’ covers both GS and in-game credits.
Now maybe they plan to make them part of a bundled DLC with ships and the weapons are just a bonus.
Or perhaps these same weapons will be re-released on the new year, but they will be class-restricted to the LRF, gunship, and covert ops.
In fact, I just bet that’s the plan. We won’t see these weapons in their current un-restricted form ever again, but come New Years, we will be able to purchase class-specific versions of these guns.

Won’t this introduce yet another balance problem, as the TTC and lightweight hull do in tier 3?
I mean, new players won’t be able to buy some of the weapons on the game, which are really powerful with the correct builds.

Weapons can be nerfed sooner or later in upcoming patches so no one will be using them anyways

Just like no one is using Phaser because it’s damage is terrible.
