Give the fighters, if not all, than give tacklers a mine type to use. Proximity mines, mine layers, it doesn’t matter. You can even create a new mine type just for fighters.

Not every ship should have ability to use mines. Why, in your opinion, do tacklers need those?
With tacklers, there are a few reasons.
Among others- A Tackler with a set of mines will have a deterrent against their prey, interceptors, to help prevent them from getting too close and then punishing them when they do.
The Tackler is the perfect ship type to set up traps using mines.
The gameplay of a tackler with mines of any sort is fun. Very fun:

The cruise tackler with mines isn’t a bad setup. I said I wasn’t a fan. I did not say that it was op, because it isn’t. How close do you need a tackler to be to kill it? Mines are a buff to certain types of fight styles. It’s a nerf to the cruise type.

Adding mines will result by not allow the cruise engine on tackler.
