What is a good source of metal blanks? Can’t find any from minerals. I have picked some up over the last few weeks but I am not sure where. Should I look for lost cargo? Blackwood cargo? Kill pirates? aliens?
Once I killed a Cargo and it dropped 2 of them.
It drained all my luck for the rest of the year.
Mainly, most of the R1 Sector.
They will provide you good amount of Vanadium, Silicon Ore and Crystal Shard.
A really fast way to gather Metal Blank is too farm the Sector just after a station in a Fed Fighter (tackler if you don’t want to fight against PnJ)

You can often find components (as in, crafted components, not the raw materials that they are comprised of) in high-rank zones. In both R7 and R10 zones, I’d often end up upon the odd computing chip, tungsten plate, or metal blank.
