I flew T1 and T2 pre 0.8 and was on the way to T3 when changeover hit.
I personally like T2 more than other tiers, so I tend to compare the various incarnations of T2 to decide which is best.
0.9 would have been far better with fixed tiers. The game was always better with fixed tiers.
