Matchmaker not giving anything above 6v6.

This has got to be a bug. I’ve been queueing for three hours and not a single TIER 3 match has been above 6v6.

Whatever the hell you did to xxxx up matchmaking, undo it and give us back proper sized games.

Nothing over 6vs6? Lucky guy, i flew 6 hours and there were nothing above 4vs4 (Bot didn’t count). So yes, fix it!

Honestly, I would welcome bots. I would be happy to fly a 12 v 12 with half the teams made up of bots! More ships make games feel bigger and more intense. Bots are crazy-aggressive so they won’t turn the match into a turtle fest.

But I am bored out of my skull by these tiny games where I know the outcome within the first twenty seconds. I spent a whole Combat Recon sat next to our captain and watched our Engineer feed for twenty minutes. I played a Detonation where I took a PHOENIX and was able to plant with no-one so much as firing at me until I was already at the station. My last match tonight I watched the same CovOps pilot fly to me, try to Plasma Arc me and die horribly over and over because there were only five people aside, including the bot.

xxxx this weaksauce argument of “people don’t like long queues.” People don’t like crap matches. Give them decent games and people will stick around longer.

I would rather have back to back 3v3s than sit and wait 15 min for 12v12

And back to back 3v3s is likely why only 300 people play at US peak time. I’ve seen enough friends walk away from this game to know that what drives people away is getting into matches that aren’t worth the wait. 3v3s can literally be decided within seconds of the first clash. Larger games are usually not so clear cut, if only because of how anarchic they become.

just as many left due to the long queue or inability to find games as a squad (no matter the size) you can’t blame one or another, only both in the same time.

same, even in tier 5 i get 6v6 matches and i never get anything higher.

I love it. Now games are faster. I would prefer to get rid of all bots, and play 6v6 games non stop with very little queue time.

In case we break the 2000 players online barrier once again, then they can start with bigger matches.

Games with bots are awful.

But an advantage.

Old Win Streak 14.

New Win Streak 29.

I am able to win alone against those enemy teams.

We’ll never break that barrier again, and even if we do people are going to be spread too thinly across the modes to get consistent matches.

All the spectacle has gone. When they added the Bots as a permanent fixture it was 15 aside every other match. When Sector Conquest came out the games were huge, albeit one sided. Back in 0.6 / 0.7 every game was full.

Now the maps feel empty. You don’t get huge, epic battles because you don’t have the numbers for huge, epic battles. One moron in an LRF is now able to cripple your team because now he’s 20% of your team’s firepower sat idle in spawn. Fewer players per side means you have less chance of getting the role-critical ships you need from the random pool, which has the knock-on effect of team-focused players either being forced to fill roles they don’t want to for the sake of everyone else, or suffering burnout and simply not caring any more.

The latter is a huge issue. When I started flying T3 it was team-focused to Hel and back. You learned to fly as part of a group, or you got butchered. Now, T3 is just the land of lackadaisical randoms who wouldn’t know teamwork if it bricked them in the face. That has bound to have contributed to a loss of players.

If the Devs really don’t want to push PvP games up in size, they should put rewards back in Custom and let people fly 15 v 15 with bots making up the difference. Their arguments against people “farming” are crap at this point; the only reason farming is an issue is because they’re stupid enough to offer GS for high score positions.

Well, it is your opinion. I’m having more fun now, since I’m playing more games. I will be even happier if they remove bots completely.

Well if you like small battles, we have SQ every 3 hours and Invasion all the time. Neither of these modes offer large battles, which is why I’d expect it from PvP.

These small games FAVOR the established high SR players (let me rephrase it and say players that know how to play this game well).  Hence the reasoning it may be prefered.

The odds will tilt towards the side that has the established players in these smaller games specially 4 vs 4 and 6 vs 6

Also as established players they will know which ships to initally bring out based upon the particulars of the game mode or what the opposing side may indicate as thier preference.

That’s primarily why I loathe small games.

As I mentioned above, I was able to steamroll a detonation game in an Engineer because nobody could oppose me. In bigger games, especially with 12-15 players aside, the ability of any one player to dictate the outcome is lessened. This is a good thing; it means that it becomes more important to work as a group than to go lone wolf.

Should be fixed now.

Seems to be, yes.
