Matchmaker not balancing games

One side has a single 3-man squads. The other has a 3-man and 3x 2-man squads.

I know that squads no longer require an equal squad to match them, but clearly this is not working right. At least one of those 2-man squads should have been on the other side. You yourselves have admitted that squads are always stronger than randoms, so why don’t you matchmake to reflect this?

If squad 3) and 4) were in your team you would have lost in even a more horrible way.

I’m not sold on that theory. Matchmaking should be balancing squads against squads whenever it can, it was just way too strict on how it did it before.

How did the match turn out?

I don’t see whats wrong with that picture. Doesn’t every WPK player count as 2man squad?

The was matchmaking, MM rolled the dice that just how it turned out. There don’t appear to be any clear rules anymore other than 3man squad needs to match another 2man squad or higher and 4 man another 3man squad.

But I have seen a couple matches where one team had 3x 2man squad and the other had no squad. Luckly I was on the team with the squads.

Well based on games from past couple of night it feels like there is something within a code to how it treats 2 man squads, in most of the games 2 man squads are cramped on one side, and it doesn’t look “random” at all. It “feels” like there is something within a code that forces this, and, most likely, not intentionally on Devs side.

Maybe they need more checks in the logic regarding 2 man squads, or separate them by default in opposite team, if there is more then 1 squad in a pool, and then attempt to fill balance with solo randoms.

Sorry, could not resist.

How did the match turn out?

Landslide victory for the other team, as you would expect from a squads vs pugs match.

MM is still not fixed!
