shift+cmd+q needs to be disabled dring the game as makes a popup for shutingdown the computer and the mac os pops up on top of game which is v annoying…
…I know this is possible because it did not previously occur so something down the line has changed,
I have also seen this keyboard-combination diasbled whist playing other games on my mac so know it is possible,

that must be just a normal update for ur MAC. this game has no commands that can shutdown ur own computer.
idk what you mean by cmd, cmd means command prompt. its not a button?

cmd/apple key - next to shift - keybind to move down by default
cmd+shift+q keys is a standard mac keyboard shortcut similiar to alt-shift-del on pc
for some reason in other games they make this shortcut overide but in SC they have unlocked it so OS shortcut works = V annoying

I have not had this problem, although I used to take endless screen shots in the middle of the battle when boost strafing down and using module 3 or 4. A quick fix is to change the shortcuts in the keyboard tab in system preferences
I just rebind the key to something else.

Thing is this was not a prob in previous patches (maaaybe 3-6 patches ago it started) so I know the game devs can do it ~ have to mention this is also not a problem in other games so I know it is possible to fix this.

Truly? I’ve been bugged by this since Day 1. I have a different keybind now that completely avoids the cmd key. It’s much easier since there’s only one ammo and one missile slot, so the keys used for changing ammo or missiles are now freed up.
But I am curious about how other Mac users go around this problem.
I bind strafe down to R to avoid the cmd key. Tired of accidentally pressing cmd + q and quits the game.

SC runs in full screen (windowed) mode for me, so the hot corners function for me in the hanger.

cmd+q has been disabled in game but shift+cmd+q still brings up the system message & basically ecms my screen for 2-4 seconds while I flap about trying to close it (sometimes the chat window opens OMFG heelp)
This never was a problem with the game in the past I have no idea what patch the programming effected this but maybe it was when full-screen was reintroduced from a fullscreen windowed mode…
Really would appriciate a bump on this from other mac players as we are an underated part of the gaming community…
I still have a problem with this.
Same issue hear… pissing me off when I am in battle and suddenly I am asked if I want to log off… Have died due to that several times, they really need to fix this and it can be blocked, because I play Borderlands 2 and there I have never had that issue (I even tested it).
