loot bug

After battle, one of the rare loots I was given was a r14 module (stasis generator) that said I already had 1 instance of it, so I chose to salvage it instead.

Then later that day, I decide I want to equip that item on my ship, and not wait to find the tier 2 item in after loot games. ( I did not upgrade to tier 2/3 yet) So as I check the item, I see I do not actually have the mk4 of it, and was a little annoyed, but didnt really care for this game due to all the bugs to waste time reporting the bug, so was like whatever.

Now, several days later, after becoming better at the game, I realize I kinda like it, no matter what others say, and want this item back.

Please help.

I think i found the game log for the day, as it was only 4/5 days ago, and I noticed the word loot and the module it was:

game.log

  1. You got a R4 item.

  2. That item was an UPGRADE KIT, which is used to upgrade the module.

  3. You need to upgrade the module 3 times to reach mk4 (Mk1 to mk2: credits/mk2 upgrade kit. Mk2 to mk3: vouchers. Mk3 to mk4: iridium/mk4 upgrade kit). You can also upgrade any module at any level through GS.

  4. This is not a bug, you will find your upgrade kit in the store (my items tab), in the upgrade kits tab.

You still got a lot to learn, but good thing is that you see the forum. Try asking someone if you have any questions about the game.

Yep, it was the upgrade kit you found in a loot. Papitas explaned things right ![:)](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/001j.png “:)”)

I know it was an upgrade kit.

The problem was it said I had an instance of it already in my store, so I decided to scap it…

And I do not already have any r14 of the modules already upgraded to MK4 either.

Its R4, not R14. The mk4 kit only upgrades the module at the proper level (not tier): mk3. You cant skip the previous lvls, they must be upgraded in secuence. And ofc the kit isnt the module (you cant equip the kit). Make sure you are looking at the right rank; you will find the same modules and kits over and over but with different ranks, the ranks define which modules can be equipped into a certain ship (a R4 ship will be able to equip any module that ranges over R4, like R1-6 or R4-9). If you still think this is a bug, please provide screenshots related to the issue and upload logs of the session were you had the issue (probably near august 24th).

I did upload the log. I think it’s the right one.

Please check. Has anyone else ever reported this type of bug before?

Sometimes I see weird sentences which make no sense when I get items, like it would repeat the same sentence if I have the kit in my store.

Just for clarification:

which one displayed “1”?

It’s a white module. Look at the color of the writing. ‘1 inst’ is white = mk1. Green = mk2 blue = mk3 and purple = mk4.

You are missing “game.net.log”, upload that one too. I havent seen this bug before ![:p](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/004.png “:p”) Next time pay attention to the rank of the kit and then check your storage for that kit and compare if it has the same rank or not (you can even take a SS with F12 to be completely sure).

Nope. Font color in this text is always white. Name and rank of the module is what defines which level it is. See here:

This means I have one module Proton Wall Mk2 installed, one module Proton Wall Mk4 installed, and 0 upgrade kits in the warehouse.

False read, but my explanation remain right.
