I recently started the game and having a blast. I’m 22 years old from canada ( I’m a Filipino ). Looking for an active group/Mature bunch of old people like me to roll with! Currently in T3 and working my way through T5! I’m quite new but eager to learn.
You need to play more pvp to get most corps to consider you.
Disregard the joined date. I made the account and tried it back then and quit after a day or two. Just got backed into it like few days ago, Around 200 pvp isnt bad considering i’ve only played for less than a week. Really just started farming PVE after getting my Polus today.
Yeah… I had 700 pvp before i started getting recruitment invites, took a few months
sh*t i took a break from Wow since it feels like im working on a part time job and your telling i need to spend 700 pvp games just for other groups to consider me? Here i was thinking i could take it easy, Meet new people and enjoy the game. Not sure what am i getting into but hopefully not all groups would be that exclusive. at least i hope so.
He’s right with pvp. There are lots of people who push it through pve to T5, get lots of ships, money etc then they jump in T3+ battles and don’t have a single clue what they’re supposed to do, be that objectives or helping the team or spotting important opportunities etc.
Then there are several types of corps: elitist, those seeking to have a certain atmoshpere, those seeking to have a certain atmosphere AND don’t neglect skill in combat, newbie corps, localized corps (for different nations / countries) and then the worst of all - zerg corps. It comes down to you which you choose / end up into.
Btw, is that Kenny from South Park in your avatar picture? xD

I needed to achieve 1000 battles to get where I am today, so yeah, go kill people xD

The fact that some corps do not look at some one till they a rating over 1000,well,to me seems silly,if you need a corp, you let me know. The new gyus with those low scores, might be the next killer for your corp,so let me know or come by my teamspeak…109.228.6.218:9805 and ask for X…
I find it kinda ridiculous the way you guys make it sound like finding a corp would be this hard. No offence but im just baffled and find this really far fetched specially with the amount of people saying i need 1000+ games with some kind of crazy high rating and such before i could get into a decent corp. Its not like im applying for a CoD Sponsored clan like optics or Blood legion from Wow where i understand that certain skills, commitment and qualifications are very much needed, I mean lets be honest this is star conflict we have 800-1k people online tops. I dont know where this amount of exclusivity or elitism are coming from. maybe because majority of the community is foreign? I dont know. < instert “in soviet russia” joke here >
In any case like i said im just looking for an active group of mature people to enjoy the game with, although im a very competitive person on most games i played. I’m pretty laid back when it comes to playing star conflict and i dont expect to get in one of these top corps or whatever you guys are referring to.
@XofJSA, MrTwiddlez ill pm the both of you ingame.

Don’t you worry, that spirit never dissapears, and sooner or later you’ll want to be competitive, and even if it sounds bad and someone gets offended, you can’t be competitive playing alongside with people that isn’t competitive
Most of us jumped through Corps until we got where we are today, it’s called progression. Obviously you can’t expect to join an “elitist” corp (even if there are no elitist corps, just good and bad corps), so it’s normal to start at the bottom and when you get better and more used to the game, put your sights somewhere else. Or you can always keep the casual spirit and play for the lulz, whatever makes you happy.
PS: I tried to write it off with the “nicest” words I could find, sorry if something offends.

Not really offended more like surprised and kinda gave me an impression “whoa whoa only 300 pvp games, gota have 1k+ pvp games and 80% win rate before you can post here and look for corps son” and could only picture this guy behind those post.
I kinda died a little inside, specially when people used to pay me real money in wow to carry 2400+ arena ratings and sht, My mail gets spammed usually by top 250 guilds from wow trying to poach me since they always see me constantly rank top 10 in world of logs, of course it helps being one of the top geared warlock in Illidan ( yes illidan-US where blood legion is ) . Trust me i got experience when it comes to competitive play but i did not expect this from a small casual game like this. so yea if you ask me this kinda caught me by surprise.
If you think im full of BS, id be more than willing to answer all your pms with my toon in Illidan anytime im online to confirm its me, my achievements, gear, world of logs. Could also how you my paypal history making a few grand within a week all from carrying scrubs who cant pvp. I don’t normally come boasting around like this, im a very humble person! but there is only so much i could take.
P.S i know this is a completely different game and have no intention to use all those mentioned achievements from a different game to find a corp here.
Well, for starters I agree with your point that some of the posts here are quite out of place Search For Corp Section was always known as a place for new players to just find a company, for the most part as long as you are active you can make into majority of the corporations out there. Of course there are some that do require certain minimums, but 99% those corporation will not even look in this section anyway, maybe because of a boredom, that’s it. Basically the point where you have to reach certain level to be considered is a total bs, seriously guys.
Now for the second half where you boost your self ego with all this achievements, just stop, all of this bravado only exposes how immature you are and lack self confidence, big time. Frankly, no one cares what have you achieved outside of this project and hardly anyone cares on what you are in StarConflict, until you star searching for competitive and organized gameplay. But be warned “Don’t be a xxxx” (or show off) is a very common requirement

I think i know that, thats why i didnt bother posting all my achievements from a different game in the first place and i already mention that i have no intention using these achievement to find me a guild here.

The only reason i mentioned this achievement is due the fact that Deranzeef is talking to me as if i had no competitive experience, background or what so ever. if you somehow feel offended by my achievement that was not my intention.
I dont know how it is immature since its usually a common baseline for top guild recruitment on most AAA games like GW2, FFXIV, Rift Etc when they are first released. I dont know why you’re hating on my achievement so hard even though i mentioned i have no intention using them on finding a corp in this game, If i did you would see me posting all these achievement in my original first post. Also If you have any idea what those achievements are you wouldn’t dare say i lack self confidence :). Its alright i don’t expect you to, this is quite a casual game and i believe the community is mostly foreign so they’ll prolly have no idea what im talking about.
EDIT: To lighten things up, So pretty much i came here and made this topic to simply find new friends to play with. So far most of the reply has been:
( Not really doing a good job am i )
And Meanwhile how i imagine support team working on my ticket

You got me wrong, read again, I only said that the competitive spirit never goes away. And, congratulations on your achievements in other games, if you put the same effort here, you’ll reach far.
PS: If you still don’t get what I meant, then it’s due english not being my native language.
Well back to the first post. Having high ranked ships is not really important. Rushing through the tiers doesn’t get you anywhere (as mentioned already).
What are you referring to Active Group? If you mean a corp then there are plenty of corps (most of them not active in forums) that would take you. If you want to join corps that have more advanced players then you also need to be good and 200+ battles is just not that much.
You don’t need to be in a corp to fly with someone (squad up) and have some great matches.
The corps that are active in the forums have the requirements posted, so just contact them.
Most important in my opinion (when looking for a corp) is to find a corp with some people that play around the same time as you. There is not really a point to join a European corp when all players are from there and you can meet them only on a weekend.

Ye i don’t know maybe i overreacted considering i only had one simple intention in my mind from my original post, which is to find new people/friends to enjoy the game with. To see so many negative replies as if i’m not allowed to that until i reached certain amount of requirements kinda ticks me off. But now i see where you’re from and i think you also misunderstood as i am not specifically looking for a competitive group . Glad we cleared that out.

This kinds of replies is kinda what i expected from the start but its too late, the damage has been done. I wont be able to make topics like a normal person ever again. jokes aside i actually just got my T3 inty to try it out and i cant believe how i am facerolling most people in pvp. Just gained over +100 DSR just from a couple of games and i dont even know how to fly one! i could only imagine how broken they are in the hands of a good player.
I don’t think you can gain +100 SR in a couple matches, except your match was very one sided (not uncommon). Also I wouldn’t measure your skill only on SR. As soon as you change to another ship class/roll you’ll lose SR as you have to adapt your game. I noticed If I change around ship classes to just try other ships I’m not that good anymore. If I only play 1 or 2 ships the whole time then SR goes up.

I’m assuming that’s going from the Katana to Ricasso, since that’s the only fighter->interceptor jump near T3.
Try not to take this the wrong way, but you’re still inexperienced. This game, with 10 ship classes(counting two LRF’s), and three races means there are a lot of details to understand, and strengths and weaknesses to work with. The catch is T3 is essentially the final module expansion point and those modules make or break some roles. If you’re just now trying out interceptors in T3, you’re behind schedule. There are plenty of corps that would take you, some “better” than others. If you’re looking for squad mates, I don’t know what to tell you, since it seems the only corps really squading up are the “elite” corps. You might find a streak of luck in finding good people in a zerg corp and then jump ship. Every zerg corp has good players who fly in squads together. You also state those 200 or so battles are from a week or two. Many corps may not want you since you haven’t shown you’ll be active long term.
On a side note, Uhmari still posts topics, what would stop you?
