Login via steam not possible, all progress lost

So I played star conflict yesterday for a few hours and made quite some progress. I set up a profile with my own nickname on the star conflict website and was able to play pvp multiplayer and everything. Today when I started the game, there was only one option to log in and that was “log in with current steam account”. When i clicked that, the game started all over from the beginning and i was signed in with a completely different username “Renamed_xxxxxxx” and the xxxxxxx is some number. When I checked the option “link accounts” and typed in my email and password, it said “this account is already linked”.

How can i log in with my actual account that i created in the first place?? am i missing something??

Hello,

you can download the non-steam client from our website or exit steam and run the game from your steam folder Steamapps/common/StarConflict/game.exe.

Worth adding that if you linked your steam account to the wrong account you’ll need to contact support, but I’m not actually sure you can link your “old” account to your steam account anymore now that you played them both.

or exit steam and run the game from your steam folder Steamapps/common/StarConflict/game.exe.

Or add -nosteam to the launch options in steam (right click->properties->set launch options) and launch normally through steam while using your Gaijin account. Probably easier.

This is not a problem at all. I switch accounts from my steam ssociated to forum account all the time. Just launch steam in offline, star-conflict will then launch with the e-mail and password box again. Hope I was any help!

You can also open Steam in disconnected mode. Then the game will ask you for log - in.

It can happen that you had your steam account linked to other gaijin account, for example for WarThunder.

As to running steam in offline:

read easier = more convenient since you only have to do it once

I tried that the other day… when Steam was indicating  I was offline and not on the network  (so I could not get into Star Conflict)

I clicked Offline mode and Star Conflict login came up…  entered my email account and password and there I was in Star Conflict and boy did I get a surprise.   A brand spanking new profile…  STARTING ALL OVER AGAIN

I figured I needed my Star Conflict fix… .so I proceeded… played 4 games before I had enough of the torture.

A.  The first T1 ship with its Mk1 gear will drive you up the WALL as you sit there an wonder how did you ever manage to get by.

B.  There have been a couple of threads about Banning veteran players from T1.  After what I have seen…

I may be somewhat in agreement.  It may not be against the rules… but I can see where it

       would discourage a new player…

Needless to say some of those “veteran” players had a rude awakening.     ( except for those DARN BOTS in SNIPER mode)
