I have a friend that is hella impatient and wants to know what ship trees out of all three factions he can level the fastest to make a Secret Projects ship. I told him support classes usually get the most synergy per battle but throw some more at me.
This pretty much depends on how you and your team mates play.
Yep, it depends on your playing style. If you don’t like to play as a support, I doubt that you will earn much synergy.

Try commands - can go both damage or support build or combined
Command line is probably the fastest, but require most of ships to go full synergy to go next. Equip 4 buffs, any weapon until phaser or flux if available, stay in middle of map, shoot at red markers general direction and press 1 2 3 4 when their cool down expires. Pubs will be grateful even if just throw buffs at random.
