just a question if everyone else is having crazy lag or if its just me.

I realize i have a high ping but this is the only game with a high ping I play eve among other games frequently with no issues but this game is giving considerable problems. here is the results of the connection test from the game forlder:

Like i said i know the ping is high but there is a few drops in there as well. all my ports are forwarded and my firewall disabled when ir an this test. just curious if im the only one or if theres others. (on a side note ive tried matchmaking on all 3 servers and the results are the same albeit somewhat less laggy on Europe and US but still not much better than Russia.) any ideas or someone just popping in to say im not alone would be nice thank you and sorry for the wall of text haha. The lag is only on the russian servers though - I get a better game on the USA servers even with an indicated 140 + ping

I’ve had stop motion lag on EU server as well, but usually it’s just on RU servers, you are right.

yeah I’m used to slight lags happening from the time I click to the time I fire and I’m fine with that because the games beautiful but what I’m talking about is huge pauses like 1-2 seconds then everything jumps to its position and I explode lol. and I agree I miss my interceptors as well =( did all this start happening after a patch or has it been a constant since game launch?

 

but the fact that working on server stability hasn’t been mentioned (at least I couldn’t find it anywhere) leads me to believe it will be like this for a considerable time to come unfortunately if that’s the case I will have to leave. like I said I can deal with a delay in commands being executed because the game is visually stunning but the 1-2 second pauses kind of ruin that.

Took more than a minute earlier to open contracts window, and for changing a ship I had to relog. And yes, no indication so far that servers will be improved but since they’re moving to release they kinda have to be, no way this game is going to survive release on the current servers and with the current netcode.

yeah I haven’t encountered lag on that scale in the hanger but I do agree that this game will fail miserably if it goes live with lag that bad.
