vernier engine wmergency barrier on capacitor shield modules are good and on CPU 2 infrared scanners.
for active modules take out the drone and put engine supresaor(the one that slows ships down by %)
It is pretty bad because it is only synergy level 2 and because it is white. Have at least green modules, it will really help.
Maybe remove the overclocked CPU and put an infrared scanner in.

Your build is a good start. A build I’ve had lots of fun with is a high-range gravibeamer build.
Use the flat reflector and 2 horizons and you can slow people from a great distance.
For engine, switch to a vernier, and for capacitor either a voltage regulator or an emergency barrier (up to you).
Aside from that, your build looks pretty good as a starting build.
You could even turn it in to a makeshift Recon ship with sensor CPU mods. XD
Cuz at a certain synergy level it gains lots of range.
This is what I’d use. The only thing I’d change is the sensor range module if you don’t want to “exploit” your passive bonus. You can put range or crit chance or a proton wall to protect yourself from ecms etc.

Dog fight build.
Assault rails, invasion spread reduction build.
Increased heat time engine module, Emergency barrier, Adaptive & EM diffuser, Proton wall & Infrared scanners.
Engine suppressor, Sentry drone, Repair kit, Shield Boost
R2 implant increase crit chance, R6 implant increase crit damage.
Increase resistances with 1 & 3 implant.
I forget which rank, but reduce the cooldown time for general modules.
Instructions:
fly in circles, pick on intys with suppressor & sentry.
Hit frigates with em missiles, show them how good the new rail guns are.
Shoot at LRF in mine fields till there shields go down. Fly through, blow them up with there mine field, EB triggers, cloak & chuckle.
Ship is good for bomb plant & capture mode where there is the single beacon. Not so hot in team battle or beacon mode where there are three beacons.

P.S. - With the gravibeamer build, if you want more sensor range because you don’t have the sensor range boost unlocked yet, put on an enhanced scanner instead of a second horizon.

Ohhhh I love the gravibeamer. It absolutely murders interceptors if you can keep contact long enough.
gravy beamers are really nice on this ship, horizons may reduce your damage by 10% if 2 are applied, but you will cause so much rage for the enemy inties. spot them 7K away, slow them 5K away, call in the cavalry and have them disposed of whilst they’re slowed and adaptives are down

first, i’m utterly xxxx at this game, so take all with a grain of salt
i rock gravibeamer on my katana ae and i’ve found it lacking in damage, thus my actives are inhibitor beam, target painer and 2 drones.
No tank, i cloak and hope to have an engi close.
you see an inty, hit it with i-beam, just enough so that you get him good with the gravi-beam, pop a drone (light one) and it’s down. unless the xxxx cloaks or coccoons. heavy drones for heavyer fighting (shooting at bigger stuff)
I also use slowing missiles, but BE xxxx MINDFUL, don’t spam them. it is so nice when you catch a frigball out in the open in your slowing sphere, while they’re switching positions
dunno. as i said, i’m xxxx, but at this moment this works for me. i’m syn 8/9, so that helps immensely.

If you switch the inhibitor beam to the engine suppressor, you will ABSOLUTELY MURDER interceptors.

And the heavy drone for inhibitor beam (no cooldown, low energy/sec cost, possible to use on a different enemy than you’re using gravibeams on).

Wouldn’t every ship be moving so slow that you can bring out the heavy drone and kill inties with the heavy drone?

Oh yeah. It cancels it when you use a shield booster or anything like that…
