there is no 3 second charging for torpedo, you use it whenever it is ready and it is much easier to hit with torp, than with disintegrator without preparation

The Jericho LRF can function more effectively as a Tank Gunship. As I approach an enemy ship i can use my guided torpedo very quickly without much need to take time to aim a sniper rifle. If i hit an interceptor the shields are decimated and the hull is damaged. If i hit a fighter the shields are gone. If i hit a frigate the shields are seriously damaged. Then i just finished it off with main guns.
Point in case the jericho ship doesn’t require the time to aim while the Emp ship requires aiming usually missing your target at such a close range.
Also if the jericho ship is about to die it can take out a lot of enemy ships nearby simply by pressing “F” twice. It is effectively like a self destruct on a covop. Of course i never take that option unless it is hopeless. Not active healing mods. no mines. pulsar in cooldown. A sniper can’t do any of that.

Energy rockets, cap regen debuff
Ion deactivate actives
How about Guided Torp produce EM Scattering / LRF Pulsar type cloud
The cloud could give the following effects:
Ships in the cloud loses active lockon
Ships in the cloud cannot make new lockons
Players in the cloud loses all HUD markers
Players outside the cloud loses HUD markers of ships inside the cloud
Players outside the cloud keeps active lockons on ships inside the cloud and associated LOS based actives (Painter, Para-Mod, Vamps, Inhibitors, Slows)
Players outside hovering over ships or toggle Show Full Shipinfo will not bring up HUD Markers on ships inside cloud.
This can give double edged sword type tactical options to teams.
You can use it to protect an ally trying to escape from people chasing him down
You can hide your engineer in them
Disrupt an incoming strike team
Pre-strike disruption as your own strike team dives in to engage
Use the clouds for map control applying them as deterrents
etc.
This will turn J-LRF into long range tactical support. E-LRF remains as anti frigate damage dealer

That would be helpful but 6x turrets maniacs will use them anyway and guided will be support like it is now(for them)

Kine, I fought you today (And killed you a couple of time, that was fun :p).
You’re playing from really too far with your Jeri LRF. I know that it’s a “long range”. The fact is that Jeri LRF don’t have the DPS that have Empire LRF on long range. I once saw you on the same beacon near then all the game.
You shall stay at your weapon’s optimal range and use your special to make the enemy move/denie a beacon.
Anyway, I must agree with you, I also find that Empire’s LRF is better, since you can play from far and be efficient and can join the battlefield without being as squishy as Jeri’s LRF.
I would love Jeri’s LRF to become a “rocket launcher”, with unguided torpedoes, an explosion when desired, a much higher speed, and 7sec cooldown.
What if there was an option for the LRF to make the “guided Missle” Unguided? Effectively making it into a 3rd Weapon type that shoots missles as fast it can reload them. Making it into a missle boat. Reload time in this mode. 12 seconds.

I had my T4 Jeri LRF on lvl 8 and played for awhile yesterday. Guided torpedo is fun to play, so I will say no to the unguided suggestion. But it is fun for 2, maximum 3 games.
I did well. Not great, but not bad. Average 6 kills and 15+ assists per battle.
Although putting Coil Mortars on it is NOT viable option like it is on my Chiron (Empire LRF). Only Plasma or Lasers (haven’t tried the new lasers yet), as you are so squishy. But that leads us to another topic - shield vs hull tanking and hitbox

R11+ LRFs can keep cloak all the time and positron is hardest weapon to track.so you can do this:

I don’t get why Jeri would be more sneaky then empire (Expect for the ninja torp). I think you’ll have done more or less the same with the Empire (Look at the opposing team, the archdragon made near the same amount of damage). It’s just you that played well.

that ADragon guy stayed in spawn, useing only desintegrator… he focused on Frigs because couldn’t hit ceptors :facepalm:
I used my GPU as heavy pew pew pew ship with positrons; I use guided torp when my weapons are overheating or target is almost dead and out of range… With E-LRF I couldn’t get so many kills because targets get out of range(mostly when weapons are cooling)
btw I use guided only with Tachyon

i dont know if this is any hell now but… Before the update on abandoned outpost you would warp from beacon to beacon, i also learned u can shoot at someone while they are warping, so before the next beacon activates i would warp to the other beacon and line up with the first beacon, so when they warp id shoot them down with distinigrator, while u warp u cant change speed or direction for about 3-5 seconds(while u are warping) so it hets me easy kills, and for those frigates that make it pass my distinigrator they just crash into me
a shame they changed the warp gates
