Steam is not that hot in Russia, majority of them play through launcher,and considering majority of population is RU or post USSR rather, there is a solid ground for a statement that majority of players do not use steam here.
Mate, without figures showing this, it is still not fact, just opinion.
Everyone that I know, in my friends list and my steam friends list, all play through steam, not the launcher. I can take screenshots to show this.
I don’t like playing with non english speaking players, russian or otherwise, you cant communicate with them, and their idea of working together is vastly different from what I am used to.
I would rather play in english only speaking servers in European servers ONLY or even US at a push.
I think we can all agree more needs to be done to promote this game around the world to increase the player base. More pilots on the game wouldn’t be a bad thing, so, promotional crew, why don’t you promote this game more?
For T3 it depends on the time of day. During the EU/RU prime times, queues are generally fast with 8v8 up to 11v11 being most common. However, T3 during the US prime time the queue is almost always close to 5 minutes and the matches are usually 3v3 or 4v4 (with the occasional 5v5 or 6v6)
log in for the first time in months, friends list is full of three digit last seen dates, most of them starting with at least a 2. message friends on steam who respond to me that its too grindy, complaining particularly about the vouchers system and the amount of pubstomping that goes on in the middle tiers by people with fully upgraded ships and premium ships. I ask them to reinstall and try it out, that its a beta and there will be bugs, that I’ll even carry them to their next ships, and they tell me they’d rather not waste time reinstalling and just continue playing the games they’re currently playing. My more recent friends who have stopped playing say they didn’t like the drop tuning of invasion, among similar complaints to the people who havent played in over a year. Even the people I have on my follow list, including mods and players I like to kill is populated with double and triple digit last seen dates. Not only that, but I log in to someone complaining about matchmaking imbalances. Then I queue for a match and sit in queue for five-ish minutes and enter a 3v3, and remember that prime time for this game is around 12pm est. Then I log out because I have nobody to play with and contemplate another several month or more hiatus.
