is the apollo better than the lightbringer?

I’ve played both, but the lightbringer seems really… not as good despite appearing better. I mean, the cool down perk is nice, and so are the additional implants, but it just doesn’t give off an intense murderous attack vibe that the apollo does, it’s like bumble bee vs giant hornet.

Both are good

Apolo is good for bubble gun coz it has rotation bonus.

Lightbringer is good with lasers (range or critical build) and with rails (critical build).

Lightbringer is also awesome with bubbles thanks to the cooldown bonus.

Apollo is more maneuverable than LB, but has less 2 implant bonuses and cooldown bonuses. I still prefer the Piranha for Rails, though. xxxx your bubbles.

I prefer Apollo because you can make a nice Speed build with it (and it doesn’t need CEM). Having extra rotation and a second Capacitor module is, for me, better than having a more aggressive slot layout and passive bonuses.

agreed. It also does a few other things better than the lightbringer due to having an extra cap slot, like particle purges, or being able to run a galvanized and still having higher roll and pitch than a lightbringer without a galvanized.  I think the rotation bonus on the apollo spoiled me for any other fighter and while the cooldown passive is nice, I’m using the rapidus 3 so cooldowns in general are not a problem. In fact the only thing about the lightbringer  I like is that I can use the gigas III for a little extra counter ecm, but other than that… I feel like it’s just too slow when put into close quarters. I don’t like having to rely on overdrive to deal with interceptors.

Power Unit Conduit on Apollo is a blessing, if you don’t mind your shield, you can add a Submatter Shield and that thing will be almost as fast as the Piranha but better.

i’ve been going a bit tankier than that since i always wind up close quarters vs an interceptor anyway. This is gonna sound crazy but I’ve been using a passive armor.

I love the Apollo.
