Is rollback possible?

So I played a bit in CBT. I’ve come back to see how the game has changed. many of them are pleasant.

However, i convinced a friend to also try the game. because I had played, and  had a lot more ships than him. he convinced me to sell all my crap. so i could ‘start over’ with him (alcohol may have been involved)

I had pretty much forgotten everything about the game. but now realize that was not only not needed, but really very stupid.

In anycase. I made a pretty huge blunder. wanted to know if it was possible to rollback my account. some modern mmos offer this as a one-time deal so just checking.

a) Welcome back
b) I would try to issue a “customer support” ticket via official source(those take a while to get response too btw), i don’t think you will be able to receive a definitive answer here (on forums), those types of officials aren’t around here.

it was more for if anyone else had done something similar. given how small the active community is on the forums, i wasn’t expecting much. but t hanks for the CS link. i’ll give that a shot.

Actually it’s a very recent addition to the game that ships can be sold at all, so the problem could not have occurred before. I haven’t sold a single ship yet but I have both sold and upgraded modules by accident if it’s any consolation.

Good luck with your support ticket.

To be fair, majority of players are in EU time zone, and Russian part of forums is much more active than English population.

Recent addition or not, doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened. It’s entirely possible i’m the first person to do this. I just wanted to know if there were any options.

I haven’t had any interaction with the customer service/support side of Gaijin. not to mention they have a lot of other games. if they offer this type of thing for other games they likely do for this one. if they don’t for other, they likely don’t here.

My problem is specific, but the type of support it falls under may not be.

Thanks for the luck! I appreciate it

Ahhh, that is good to know. I figured the Russian part would be more active.

I’m a little surprised, but given gaming trends, especially in PC gaming, this isn’t that surprising once I actually think about it and step away from my ‘US is King’ default mentality. the gaming market in the US is largely console/mobile and PC gaming is bordering on the occult. Of course, this could largely be because the game is still in OBT. if anything, it’s rather refreshing to see a primarily EU dominated community.

That being said, EU time zone doesn’t really have a lot to do with forum activity. just when that activity occurs. unless EU have a different mentality about posting, and just lurk. in my experience in other gaming communities this isn’t the case. EU guys tend to be friendly, maybe a little opinionated, but overall they are just as active as any one else in a gaming community. so for whatever reason there just isn’t a ton of activity here. be that a function of there just not being much to talk about, the overall size of the community, or the mentality of the community.

My only CS interaction over here was about a refund and that went through reasonably fast and without any complications.

As to community focus: It’s the same with World of Tanks, there RU>EU>US (and China>all but that’s another story). It seems these types of games aren’t all that popular in the US. There was an interesting interview with the Wargaming CEO about the demographic and the research they had put into it but I don’t have a link at hand. Something about US gamers being more risk averse in gaming and more focused on easy gratification models.

doesn’t surprise me at all :/

kind of odd, that Darksouls has such a huge following. maybe it’s the combination of the PvP and risk. but then MOBA is also fairly popular. oh well.

if you happen to find the link, i’d love to read it.

You’ll be dealing with Star Gem and not Gaijin as far as I understand.  That being said, it’s a Russian time zone so keep that in consideration.  I’ve also heard that response time depends on the time last update so frequently updating your post hurts you since their system looks at the last update time.  On the other side of the issue, from personal experience, if you wait too long, reply again to make sure you’re not forgotten.

Hello,

as already mentioned by the others, please contact our support team.

If it takes longer than one week, feel free to contact me.

See you in space!

Thanks everyone! Thought i’d update the thread. I received a reply from custom support.

It is not possible to revert an account to a previous date at will.

Hello!

Thank you for contacting Gaijin Customer Support.

Unfortunately, we cannot revert your account to the previous date at will. Moreover, you have accepted the sale, so this means that this was a legitimate action, thus we are unable do anything with this issue. Please, be more careful next time.

Best regards,
Gaijin Entertainment Support Team

Moral of the story:

Don’t get drunk and sell all your stuff

You are lucky then. Many people discovers that getting drunk is dangerous after selling REAL STUFF, or doing stupid things they will regret the rest of their life.

At least you only lost internet pixels.
