Is it worth taking all the time to get parts for a destroyer?

neodium plate yeah.

BTW…Where a good place to find those besides in the “rare destroyer parts” package?

Berillyum? From loot get by pvp or pve while flying rank 11 max sinergy level ships
(don’t ask why all those rules, we are still trying to figure that out :P)

At this point destroyers, as with most premium content, function simply as a scam to extract maximum funds for minimum return.

Whether you invest time or gold standards, you’d be far better off doing anything else. My destroyers gather dust these days, and frankly I regret ever building them.

If you like going fast, dodging, turning a lot, sneaking around, feeling the rush of fast paced ships, then flying a destroyer will be the most boring thing you can think of.

Here we have an example ![:)](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/001j.png “:)”)

Actually I main as Engineer, and typically Empire Engineers at that. But most of the time in a destroyer I’m stuck watching everyone else have fun while hiding at the back. If I close in, I’m fighting the abysmal controls as much as the opposition - almost all of my deaths are because the ship didn’t do what I told it to do.

many sayed it was easy to fly destroyers, they arent (not to fly them well). If your ship did not do what you wanted to, its either because you made a mistake or ping made a bad joke to you (i usually over roll due to the big delay caused by ping). Controls are fine, but require a lot of practice (since its different than other ships) and high ping as always will mess up with your performance. Even after those issues i always encounter, i have a great time flying destroyers.

I frequently have control issues, especially with the teleport gun. 50% of the time it doesn’t fire in the direction I’m aiming. The destroyers also seem to enjoy turning in the opposite direction to the one I press, despite the fact I pay close attention to my rolling and the ship is flying the right way up.

The teleport gun have slow barel.

But, back on the topic. As someone who is trying super hard to get one, I don’t think it’s worth at all.

Even with the spacial scanner, it took me 8 hours of constant intense farming to get a single enriched beryllium, and 3 neodium plates.

Out of 200/250 mysterious container I got  45% of the time a blueprint, then 35% of credit, and 18% of crafting material. The droprates seems like 1.5% for neodium plates and 0.5% for enriched beryllium.

Good luck farming for 200+ hours. Especially when you know that it’s the pay option.

Almost all modules have barrel slowdown, meaning that if you quickly change where you are aiming, the module wont manage to follow your crosshairs in time (you will see the turret turn rate in the module description); waiting 1 second should be enough for it. For the second i can only conclude that you are flying your destroyer upside down, its the only moment where that happens and i know how complicated is to fly that way xD for those situations is generally better to press control and wait for the ship to self aling. Also careful with the gimbal lock (when looking all the way up or down, the movement of the mouse will have a different impact in the camera rotation).

I helped a friend get the neodium for the T3 destroyer…we took about 1 month. He is totally enjoying it. For the players that arent sure if they will like a destroyer, the best thing would try it from someone else (somebody who really trusts in you and borrows his account), otherwise try looking at gameplay videos from destroyers.

I personally am not going to use a destroyer for main PvP battles.  I’m a co op and PvE guy, so I’ll still have plenty fun using my destroyer for those. ![:)](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/001j.png “:)”)  (lets just say that War Thunder got me burned out on PvP.)
