Is it legal to sell your star conflict account? - Answer to locked thread.

Placing this here, since it was locked pre-maturely without the person locking it actually giving the right answer.   [http://forum.star-conflict.com/index.php?/topic/28632-is-it-legal-to-sell-accounts/](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/28632-is-it-legal-to-sell-accounts/)

It is legal, but it is only legal if you ask for permission from Gaijin.

If you do not ask, it is illegal.

I imagine that they simply wish for there not to be any trouble with the usual *He sold me his account and now he wants it back!* crowd.

It is legal. Just be careful, and make sure to go through the proper channels. It’s kind of like legal immigration vs illegal immigration; one is legal, the other isn’t and could get you deported/banned.

To note, the person receiving the account must also go through with getting written permission from Gaijin, so it is a two step process.

As a final note, if you’re selling your steam account, you must still ask Gaijin for permission if you intend to keep it linked.

Else-wise, ask them to unlink the account from steam, if that is even possible. That goes for other services like steam, as well.

Do not disclose to Gaijin about how much you sell your account for, unless it’s absolutely needed to proceed.

A Star Conflict account can be worth anywhere from a minimal amount to, perhaps, a little over or about 500$ in American Currency, depending on where you’re at in bought ships, synergy, and golden ships, along with dlc, and so on. eventually, your account may very well be worth about 1000$ for those people who don’t have the time for all that grindy business. (Not really doing any math here, I’m just guessing.)

I will not be selling my account any time soon, but it is an interesting prospect, and it could be a possible business venture for Gaijin in the future, though I would not suggest it, this should be left to the players.

For instance, for professional players that want to get right into the game and do not have the time to sacrifice that could be used on tournaments within other games where it’s either easy to grind, or the grind is non-existent, it would be easier for them to buy an account, or rent one.

As for how much you’d rent out your account, that would probably be discuss-able.

Again, you’ll still need written permission from Gaijin on both sides.  Enjoy!

Eve lets you sell individual characters (but not accounts) with the character transfer service. It’s against the rules in every other game I’ve ever played though. 99.9% chance it’s against the rules here too.

Well, welcome to Star Conflict, the first game you’ve seen that allows the selling of an account, under certain rules, of course.

That being said, I’ll believe it when I see it.

They’ve written that they allow it, but it has yet to be seen if it has ever been done.

Oh, okay. I didn’t know that. I thought you were asking if it was allowed.

It is not allowed to sell your account and there is no need for further discussion as already stated in the previous thread.
