Intertial Stabilizers and Acceleration

Just realized this as I was transferring modules from my Grey Falcon to my Waki-R, but is there an acceleration cap? Inertial stabilizers (at purple) give a 57% increase to strafe speed and acceleration. Putting 2 on my grey falcon results in 20.1 m/s^2, but putting on a third on my Waki-R also results in 20.1 m/s^2. This makes me believe that there is an acceleration cap.

Are my assumptions true? Or am I missing something.

Edit: Putting 3 on my grey falcon also results in 20.1 m/s^2 acceleration.

Strafe acceleration =/= forward acceleration

Read it… Increases *strafe * speed and acceleration, not forward acceleration.

Strafe acceleration is not a listed parameter however :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s right you can go sideways faster than forward

With out inertal stabiliser

With inertial stabiliser

With tetroxide injector

Witch means that inertial stabilisers increase only strafe speed and strafe acceleration, not forward acceleration and acceleration cap isn’t  20.1m/s

Strafe acceleration =/= forward acceleration

Is there a way to see how much strafe acceleration a ship has?

unfortunately no

TIME FOR ANOTHER ADDITION TO THE STATS! That should be useful.

Then you would see how op the acceleration is lol.

Well it’s not so OP, but helps a lot some pure adaptive builds.

lol well trying to shoot an inti that can strafe from 430m/s left to 430m/s right in 1s is quite some acceleration…

400m/s is the cap for acceleration  but there are ways to brake forward/back and strafe speed limits…

Yes I’ve been 888m/s. But it’s more useful to get around asteroids easily.
