Interceptors + afterburner = nearly unkillable

Interceptors are nearly unkillable with afterburner and good piloting. I just had a game where me and two other pilots where trying to kill a single interceptor orbiting a beacon. None of us could hit him other than a few lucky shots. I was in an interceptor too. After a couple minutes I just gave up. I think interceptors should run out of capacitor eventually if they constantly use their afterburner.

You need to use stasis generator and anti engine module so you can stop inters and kill them very fast.

Must have against them. Knock them out and they are gone. ^^

Also use Slowing Rockets or System ‘Arkan’ (frig active module) to slow them down.

But maybe there is still something to look at. Stasis Generators and Bokas are Tec3 and take a module slot (and quite a bit of experience to get), whereas even Tec1 interceptors can do this and don’t need any special modules.

Interceptors just seem stupidly overpowered when they have the upper hand against both attack ships and frigates.

If you is t2, try use “hail plasma gun” + plasma speed mod.

You will ever hit the interceptor.

On T1 and T2 the interceptor has low hull and shields so he wont survive long if he gets hit so the balance isnt really bad.

there’s alot evil device start from T2 if you doing it “right” at your tech tree… just… be creative…

Also laser hits are possible. Best way to be save from Inty is use Inty and hunt them with Prepulsion web. Slow motion and perm supression. ^^

still… imma sez rapid tagged weapon doing better works for close combat… laser kinda very ineficient despite hurt…

i dont think there unkillable infact there quite easy to kill dose not matter about the afterburners sure the interseptor might be a bit hard but not impossible

Interceptor need be fast, agile and fragile.

Agile and fast he is( buf no matter because the back shot feature), but fragile… he have much life. But if reduce your ship/hull he will be killed easy because no matter how agile or fast you are, you be ever hited by someone using freecam.

If the Interceptors fire while using afterburner, they use up their energy quite fast. So i think that part is balanced out quite well.

Rapid or Heavy versions of weapons and also electronic warefare consume so much energy that an Inty will runn out of energy even with the recharger ship mod. Only trained ships can do this while maintaining over 30% of remaining energy.

Yes, and as ealier stated, there is equipment that completely disables interceptors. I know i’ve gotten my engines killed a few times… standing still in space in such a puny ship takes only a couple of seconds to die when you cant move.
