Interactive stream "Hunting for space pirates" from the game channel DigestNet! (Discussion)

well, I dont think they will make this good ad for SC if they die all the time coz ppl want the GS.

Or am I wrong?

Is there anyway to join their match in specific or will it be just luck that we find one? And approximately how long will the stream last?

it is now 21:02 Moscow time. No livestream. :frowning:

for real? they are just a few, then they play in a group and in T1…

Well yeah, what did you expect :stuck_out_tongue:

They are in T3 now, it seems.

is it only DigestNet, BETEPAH1987, and Simurg?

It’d be nice if there weren’t 15 minute breaks between every one of their matches.

and 1800 ppl trying to get a match with them the same time you are.

What I think is wrong about this event:

  • You announcing it.

  • You giving very good rewards for killing them.

  • Giving them infinite cash for them to spend willy-nilly.

What I think is good about it:

  • Free advertising for the game.

I watched a little of one, I think T1.  Please tell me it got better?

They did not play much :frowning:

They flew around every match getting slaughtered followed by 10-15 minutes of prettying up their ships every round. It’d of been a decent event if players who got killed for GS were skilled and were on for more than five matches, buy hey free advertising.

I agree.

This event was a complete fail besides advertisement.

What I think failed?

-The pilots had practically 0 experience in this game and epic failed in all tiers

-They only did 5 battles

-There was only 1 squad

-They waited WAY too long between battles

-They were epic fail in every possible way(This needed 2 points yes)

What I think was good?

-This showed that premium ships and premium mods won’t make you insta-win in this game.

especially when there is a bounty on your head in gold coins.

Anyone with a [KilMe] tag beside their name can prove you can make do with everyone wanting you dead.

The timing of it was a bit silly - was this aimed at only the Russian community?

I would like to point out this was a very biased event towards the community in general. I know I would have liked getting a shot at making some GS as would have all the players on the otherside of the of the planet that couldn’t make it.

I made it possible to get on during this time but apparentally the pirates were done flying and I was xxxx out of luck. So in the future please make it possible for the whole community to take part in. Make an EFFORT! Even more because you advertised it!

If Gaijin is wondering why the numbers on the NA primetime are so low, it is because of actions like this that people don’t stick around to play your game(s), and feel left out in the process.

Knowledge day… Underachiever, goal; Do nothing.

Cosmonerd, goal; snipe 20 people - unrestricted tiers, can be done in t1-2 so it might as well for ease. Lot’s of unhappy newbies being sniped that day.

Catch the UFO… zero in-game involvement, unless you consider taking a screenie n logging out, in-game involvement.

8x higher rewards than the last in-game event which involved a large group of people, “Survivor”, for basically how creative, original and experienced someone is at editing imagery.

Same with Cosmic Comics. I have no problem with events like these, until they begin to feel the like main events because there’s nothing to compare to lately.

It’s almost as if gaijin have these guys on their publicity bandwagon n their payroll is the competition winnings. (I saw a lot of pictures on fb via starcon’s page)

Hunting for Space Pirates… I didn’t even show up because of my presumptions, which according to other’s turned out true.

Inexperienced players flying around with a [KILL ME] clan tag, hunted by tier-downed vets and everyone else that’s aware, for free GS.

What popped into my head when I saw this event, kill stealing and spawn camping.

Was this event a stealth-test to see whether or not a bounty system might work in game perhaps?

( Final criticism: since you have players playing this game who have spent the asinine 80-something euro’s on the pirate DLC, it would make more sense to ask for volunteers, do a lucky dip and assemble your pirate team this way. Two birds one stone, public relation brownie points and an assembled pirate team, potentially with some experience. )

Reason I brought up old events is to make a fundamental point… gaijin/stargem/devs - whatever, have very strange methods for rewarding people. I don’t know if they do it accidentally or intentionally but in my opinion it’s bad.

I realize the game is also still, for what it’s worth, in beta. So perhaps there’s some learning to take place. I just hope it IS taking place and future events improve especially post v1.0.

Perhaps it’s just a Russian thing that I will never understand because I’m English. Cultures n’ that.

Woohoo another rant, oh well, killed some time!
