if a team works together properly amount of deaths go down too.
If you need money take 2 fully equipped Tier 3 ships with you and use those. The difference isn’t that big.
The problem is you don’t always get a good team… No matter how good I perform (even with 6 kills in 15 second medal), my team still loses. I see more and more people don’t care about the objectives and just go for the kills and revenge. Unless you’re in a full squad with people you know and have voice chat, chances are you lose more than you win in T2 and T3.
You can also farm scenarios for cash quite effectively.
Low tier ships serve to support the finances of the higher. Just like taxes!
This game has no end game, if you call call getting owned repeatedly by ESB (Or owning them on occasion), and losing money either way with the addition of never finding any purples even if you win 200 games…“end game”… I honestly don’t see the incentive to play anything above T3.
The point of Endgame in an MMO is Loots, Money, and fun. End game in Star Conflict doesn’t have any of that.
If you win -
* 0.05% Chance to find a purple (about 1 chance in 500 - 1500 games or once every 3-9 months months for the casual player who does nothing but win games and never loses)
* Generally Lose More money in repairs then you made.
* Victory (Whatever that’s worth to you)
If you lose -
* No chance at purples
* Lose A LOT more money in repairs then you make, Lose a lot and your wallet will go into the negative. (lols)
* The nasty after taste of failcakes in your mouth
Nope, I’m not seeing a reason to even play T4 battles. As even if you win… You still Lose.

Firstly, should we start debates about Star Conflict not being an MMO?
Secondly, it provides fun if you are strong enough to fight against top squads. The highest ship speeds, the highest possibilities of fitting, the most skilled and well-equipped players against you. That’s what I call the proper contest. And that what is T4 is about. And yeah, most of the ESB players, including me, rose through domination of the top squads of the past, especially the SYN ones.
And I have very little fun in playing T2 and even T3. All is slow and skillful opponents are the rare thing.
So T4 is for players who want to have a harsh contest and who are ready to put efforts in it. And why do you think, that you should easily play on any tier? Especially the top one?

It’s much higher.1% or something like that.
I wish this game have corp battles in the future so instead of going to the wild, you can just play with your corp teammate with voicechat.
There will be those. I hope to see them in a patch 0.8.0.

Even when you win a T4 battle depending on how many times you died you still lose money. As I said before the only thing you get from wining a T4 battle 99.9% of the time is VIctory. If thats all you care about then awesome and yea IM sure that type of person is having loads of fun.
But for the other 95% of players if we win we expect to get something besides “less” money in our wallet then before the match, No “Usefull loot”, and a hallow victory with nothing to show for it.

The point of End game is to have fun. Loots and Money is completely inconsequential as having too much of those would actually reduce fun. Star Conflict provides a very interesting high-stakes end-game where you are challenged. If you don’t find challenges to be fun that is your own personal problem, not a general one.

Then don’t.

No need since Star Conflict is a MMO by proper definition.

Loot. White Loot = more Money (not included in the victory screen calculations)

Don’t claim to speak for 95% of the playerbase.

I’m seeing more people have 1 T4 in hanger and then just use T3s
I think some people are having too much fun arguing on the forum purely for the sake of arguments.
I disagree with making T4 matches an exclusive and elitist enclave only accessible to a few. Anyone who have enough reputation should be playing T4 matches like T3 ones with same or better progression speed (ie: reputation and credit gain).

Yup I’m gonna say THIS ^…T4 is not endgame either, tier 5 will be released soon. If the devs want to really test t4 they need to level it like the rest of the tiers i.e. where it should be when the product is finished. T4 should not be some uber elite end game, only a very few will reach it tier. I know how this works I played World of Tanks up to tier 8. Yeah it was tough to make money then, but on a good match if you didn’t die you made decent money.

I don’t dying at T4 and making something about 10mil per few hours. Just like you said.

T5 will be released upon full game release. How is that soon?
Also I agree with kgptzac, everything on the matter has been said dozens of times already.
Summary:
T4 is endgame content so in order to keep it fun it is only logical that it bears high-risk. The more advanced your ship the more you’ll pay. That’s only logical and correct.
If you are not willing to take the risks, you can always fly either in T3 or use T3 ships in T4 matches.
Sticking back and trying not to die will usually end in you being even more likely to die and cost you the match. This is due to a) you being completely inefficient and b) easily singled out. If you have already reached T4 you should know better by now or your hopeless anyway.
You can always make easy money by flying PVE (1m-2m an hour depending on license or not and DISCOUNTING any loot)
Unless you’ve got something new to contribute there’s no need to spam this topic up more then it already is.

As far as topic spamming this was my only post on here…and it looks to be your umpteenth post on this thread. Just sayin man. I will say you have a point though. Yes it is endgame content, for now…and to be fair it doesn’t take that long to get to T4. Fair enough…now that I have made 2 posts on this thread, you may now accuse me of spamming this topic.

There are 2 more global patches to be before release. 0.8.0 and 0.9.0. Each one should bring something great (0.6.0 gave us Jericho, 0.7.0 - Ship tree, new economy and corporation system). The only great points in the development plan are T5 and global map. So I’m sure that they will be added in these patches. Which will be first - no one can say.

It probably would be so, if there were more T4 pilots queueing. If 200 T4 pilots were playing at the same time, then the higher rated/corp squads would be matched against each other and the lower rated players among themselves. When there are 14 T4 people queueing (quite literally), 8 of which are ESB premades, what do you expect will happen? If T4 pilots want a better T4 experience, they should start playing more T4, not go back to T3 and complain about it.
I am also reposting my money-saving tip from another thread:
Anyway, you can also save money by turning automatic repairs off. As long as your ship is not at 0 durability, you can still enter games, and repairing from 0 durability is capped at 200k (for me at least). So, if you have an unpaid 180k repair bill, enter a game and die in it, you will only need to pay an extra 20k, whether you died once or 4-5 times (saves about 40-180k). The only way this will not save you money (it will never cost you more), is if you get a 200k bill right after repairing.
