I would like to know what a corporation can do if its CEO is inactive for months. Our Vice President is very active and we have a fairly good player base with about 100 members not away for longer than a week and about 80 of them are online every day. We are slowly getting closer to get all the necessary iridium for a dreadnought and now members are concerned that without a CEO we won’t be able to build and maintain it. There are talks about leaving and joining to another corporation but no one wants to lose all the invested iridium and the team of course. So, any official suggestion or help in this matter would be appreciated.
As much as I remember from bits and pieces, blogs - posts and other sources, Devs said that Dreadnought control will be in the hands of Officers and VPs, so CEO is not the only one with capabilities. As long as you guys have Active VP/Officer team ,you should be fine.
Unfortunately there is no way to “regain” CEO status without him passing it down on someone, because creating a corporation cost gold(real moneyz) GM can not force a transition of CEO status, even if he is out of the game for a year, so if you truly want to reform you will have to leave corporation, and form a new one (with all gold prices tight to that) and you will not be able to transfer resources too. So in your case, i wouldn’t worry about it.
Yeah, I think it is not that easy since he paid and spent GSs on making the STEEL. Unfortunately, we have no contact with him.

Just because he is set as CEO doesn’t mean he just makes decisions, we both make decisions, I put him CEO so I can do CDF mangement better, so I can switch corps if I need to.
