I have (nearly) 2500 posts.
They are nice numbers, so I will stop posting once I reach 2500 posts. Don’t worry, I will be lurking and Pm’ing people my responses to their threads.
I’m mostly leaving this game as well, logging on each thursday hoping for a patch that makes the game fun again. I have lost the fun in the game, nearly 1000 hours into this game as well.

For the people making the patch notes(This is not a flame, Error, this is my feedback, so stop removing this kind of thread when it has no flame):
Make the complete patch notes, don’t leave things out and ignore us when we raise an issue about something missing in the patch notes.(Whether intended or not)

Actually, removing threads like this is a bad idea on the GMs part, as then they are saying “Well screw this guy, we know the game is bad, but we won’t let you talk about it to your peers.”

I haven’t played for a couple of days myself (I run a minecraft server) But I feel your pain. the most important aspect of a game is fun factor. When you make a game that feels more like a chore then a game, then whats the point of it? Keep doing what you are doing bro. See you in space!

I’ve played maybe… 25 games in the past 3 weeks? Haven’t yet logged in to check out the new patch (which is ironic as it’s the best patch yet, according to the patch notes).
The game has a big problem: It’s not fun to play just for the sake of playing. At least, not if you’re a lone-wolf without a corp. There really isn’t enough variety for solo pilots to feel entertained. And I get the feeling even some corporation players are getting bored.
Why do I draw that conclusion? Forum RP. The only reason to start a forum RP thread is if you are wanting more out of the game, but the game isn’t delivering. So you create your own excitement which temporarily postpones the inevitable boredom.
The other reason this game isn’t as fun is progression grind. Since the synergy grind/loyalty vouchers/increased ship costs patches it has become increasingly tedious to grind up the tree. Rewards for winning battles feel like drops in a bucket. And credit loot still sucks. So the time required to reach that new ship or weapon has started to become unrealistic in many players minds. So they give up, stay in whatever tier they were at when the synergy update occurred, and occasionally log in to play.
So sadly, I am one of those players that have given up. I’ll most likely never make it out of T3, because why bother? It’s the same thing no matter what tier you are in, it just looks different because you have more “options”. Besides, my DLC ships are all in T3 and I like them. So why should I spend days grinding up to T4/5 if that means I won’t be able to use my DLC ships?
That escalated quickly…
