Until we have enough of a player base to make Server Region Separation to work, Voice-Com is going to be a total mess, at least I am lucky that I am fluent in Russian and English, but there are quite a few mouthful players from another language regions as well. We still have to test the implementation though before it goes into release, so we will have to suck it up I guess.
Oh, voice comm, nice. If the whole team can hear you, this could probably be the best addition ever (I don’t expect anyone would abuse this, I see more good than bad, majority of players don’t have mics installed anyway). Can finally work with and give some directions to pugs… This ‘could’ be great. I remain optimistic.
But I hope their voice comm won’t be running on the same server as the game does :), the game (and hangar) servers need an upgrade badly.

Ever played Dota 2? You are very optimistic and that is a very good point. One should always be optimistic =)
And of course, Star Conflict community cannot be compared to the dota community, but from my experience, a lot of frustrated players tend to abuse the voice communication system. Also, don’t underestimate the Russians. Many Russians don’t speak/ or understand English. But we are mixed in the same games, so I suppose that we will hear many different ingame languages, swearing, abuse, etc.

Well, perhaps the devs implemented some sort of mechanism, to prevent abuse like this. Who knows =)
I was hoping we’d see a fix to the god-awful synergy system. I’m getting sick of 2pt kills because the enemy decided to buzz my engineer drones when on the brink of death…

Would be awesome if such Prize could be claimed again.
If i start to see russians/french/german ppl yelling at that voice coms i will start yelling in portuguese and use my voice return mode on my mic and make everyone shut up or get bleeding ears.

As you can read in today’s Dev Blog, we will be able to turn it off so we wont have to hear anyone but our mates in Team Speak, don’t worry

Aawwww. What’s the fun in that? I was looking forward in yelling in the chat in several different languages. Maybe then some engie turn on their heals…
