i have the tech templar II and use it. yet i am not rank 6 with any faction? i was under the impression owning a ship of rank X would bestow rank X to the player?

Your rank is your highest rank of a ship in a faction…for ex. u can be rank 8 with Empire and rank 2 with Jericho.
