How to fit and Naga? (Tier 5)

Here’s my Naga build btw. I’ve posted it before but now it’s a few synergy lvls higher and with full mk4 heals.

Basically you want acceleration to activate your adaptive shield sooner and rotation speed to offset the Galv. hull. This ship is way more mobile than a minotaur will ever be and when at full speed just as tanky.

Using Fed R1 implant in combo with Kinetic resist, a Galvanized hull, and an Adaptive shield gives you over 100 resist in each category for hull. On top of that add the strongest heals in the game and no one ship is going to be able to quickly kill it. 495 hull regen/sec in addition to the resists means some of the time you heal faster than they can dmg your hull.

As for weapon stats…Positron is the next item i’m upgrading to mk4 but the main priority is the range.

With 7771 max weapon range and 5828 effective weapon range you can out range Ion emitters/Coil Mortars and stay far enough back from the action.

If you hate getting swarmed, just try the T-rex instead. It has a ton more survivability (in practice, not on paper) because it can outrun any of the other frigates or fighters that are favored by the current meta. A competent T-rex pilot can avoid getting swarmed by anything that isn’t an interceptor or a fed fighter,  not that fed fighters are actually used at tier 5. If you do get caught by an inty without allied support, do what damage you can then finish it off with a torpedo.

The Minotaur is still an amazing engineer, from what I’ve seen, when played up at tier 5. It’s the best engi tank in the game and that makes it just plain better than the Naga in some situations.

Fly solo and see what kind of teamwork you can expect.

 

Solo pilots, even those in a corp, are the majority of pilots in this game.  Even in a 12v12 with a four man squad on each side, two thirds of the pilots are solo.  They’ll let you die more often than not.

 

That being said, Empire and Jericho frigates require chess work as much as teamwork.  Lack of mobility prevents a GTFO option, so you have to be more careful about getting into trouble.

You can try going all resistance on hull with adaptive shield on shield. And fly it like a fed engi

 

But I’d say go for t-rex instead (2 shield + 2 hull). The heals are not as strong as naga but it will survive more… it also has rotation bonus!

 

p.s. positron can really benefit from the crit chance. Add an IR scanner and its even better. Charge that xxxx

 

I’m with Terrorblade on this. I have a Naga and I haven’t bothered equipping it much, but when I do, I think I’ll do is like this.

 

*edit* also, I think even with one less shield slot, the +20% bonus to heal effects makes up for it (when comparing it to the T-Rex)
