You mean the covert ops module, right? You don’t see all that pretty blue light coming off your ship, when you press the button? From what I understand, when you activate it, everything in front of you (REALLY close to you, I’d estimate about 5 ship lengths) in either a cone or a cylinder eats a lot of damage. Again, you have to be REALLY close, it’s sort of like a melee attack. Try it on a frigate.

Well sometimes a tunnel vision fighter will be nice to me and fly straight and level long enough for me to use it on him. But yeah, it’s super duper short range (like, 400m or so), problematically so imo since you usually have to fly right in to a frigate’s mine field to hit them with it, which is not so hot.
Still, hit your adaptive camo and hum the Jaws theme tune as you burn behind an unsuspecting frigate, do the crescendo as you activate this and make a big hole in it.
Can sometimes be useful when jousting with other interceptors as you fly by, since the damage is so high even a couple of ticks can be enough to make a big dent in an interceptor’s HP pool, but that’s more luck than judgement tbh.
Can we get a number on the range and what the shape of the effect is from the devs?
I think it should be made easier to hit with, but do less damage. As it is now, I’m pretty sure 3 interceptors (1 ECM and 2 Covert ops) can kill anything in a single stasis.

T4 blue is 3750 per sec, so much closer to 12k than 9k.

for feds, collision in the passives gives you also strafe and turn bonus. but you have to live with less protection.

Collision problems dont go away, they are just transfered to shield. Also trading afterburner speed for that is bad decision for inties
