How much artifacts do you get in 1 hour in Invasion?

I heard that Invasion got nerfed recently by a “ninja nerf” update, since it was not mentioned in any of the updates.

I can confrim these rumors. The nerf is more than evident in the loot you get and it’s not the only one, but it’s the most recent.

Honestly, how much artifacts do you get in 1 hour, if you decide to “farm” in certain sectors on average?

I only got around 180 artifacts.

Is it still possible to get more, than that amount on average?

I am talking about 500 or 1000 per hour or it’s just not possible, as it once was?

You can also add additional information.

We can share, if we care, right?

That’s all.

Sincerely, Koromac

probably 500 with lots of luck.

What is a good way / place to farm artifacts? I am an invasion n00b

Also curious to know this. Killing Aliens, for some counter-intuitive reason, does not increase your chances.

there used to be a (fairly) regular drop of 100 srtifacts out of the courier caravan in new eden (ice pits to abandoned, passes in front and under the hangar door). I haven’t got a single 100 arti loot since

I don’t actively keep track, but I get around 150 - 250 playing T3 pvp.

Not that artifacts matter. Faction loyalty comes much more slowly.

In-fact to make things more entertaining for myself I have stopped using artifacts on my T3 ships. I upgrade with purple kits only.

It actually does. You are more likely to get artifacts from killing aliens (particularly hunters) more than mysterious containers after the “ninja nerf”.

I’ve found that killing aliens in Water Harvest is a good start, or farming in Unknown space (painfully annoying process).

The best way to get artifacts, from what I’ve gathered, is to farm treasure hunters in invasion.  Sorting facility in particular has 2 group spawns of them relatively close by.  Tackler farming them, or using “cloaky” LRF does the best job in my experience.  They are ECM bots so they will metastable, stun, and all that annoying crap, so its best to keep them from locking you and staying more than 2k away, otherwise it will be an annoying grind.  You can get lucky with about 1000 artifacts per hour (my highest amount), and a crap load of credits and some vouchers in sorting facility if you are able to farm both spawns of treasure hunters and kill the bios that come in (Bios hardly drop anything good for some reason).  Don’t know if this method has been nerfed or not, but quite a few of my corpies and I still do it and get good loots.  Sometimes the cybers will have artifacts too, so basically go around killing everything, but treasure hunters take priority.

If you use a gauss tackler with Target Painter (use the negative resistance implant with lock on in conjunction), Engine Supp. (for pirating punks), sentry drone, and hull repair, you can do well.  I’ve soloed the Biomorph wings in there with this too, just gotta play it smart.

Biomorphs always drop crap credit loots now.  I got to unkown space once, killed five biomorphs in there, which took a good half an hour, and I never got more than a fuel sensor (90k credits).  now I’m not even going to bother killing biomorphs anymore.  It’s not worth the effort.

but mill, there are no biomorphs in unknown space!

huh?

huh?

There’s only hunters in unknown space, no bios. And hunters drop anything from 90k credits to 150 artifacts

bios, hunters… same thing  :005j:

How the game is setup, it doesn’t matter what you loot, you can get lucky from any type of containers. The only difference i seen is that some containers have higher value top items, but they are just as likely to drop useless stuff. Ther other day i got 1 million worth of loot twice from Lost Cargo containers, but hardly anything worthwhile from Misterious ones. This week-end i got some pilot tag from normal debris (worth 300 000) while searching for crafting elements. The way the game is geared, it seem to me the Devs want us to loot everything not fixed in space, looking for specific type of containers is pointless due to how random it is… Well, some items only drop from specific containers (blueprints, Pilot tags, gold nuggets, rare crystals), but you got some good chance when it comes to cash and other types of loot.

200 Artifacts (Luck)
