About one hundred newbs a day ask “is it just random that people receive a ship?”. Second – I *****already****** bought those ships. Why am I being bombarded with in-game advertising for them?

I would also like a way to disable those. Those are very unnecessary and i do not want to see them (much like everyone else)

Nobody knows what it was meant to be, but it’s definitely broadcasting the fact that someone bought something. It can be considered advertising, if you would like.
It’s meant to appeal to group psychology/herd instinct “everybody is buying those premium ships, I guess I should, too”. You find that in many games.
