How do you figure out what email is linked to gaijin and steam.

Dragonfox is trying to figure out his forum account, and the system isn’t being very kind to him, to say the least. 

How do you figure out what email is linked to gaijin and steam.

 

He has access to steam, and through steam, the gaijin account; However, he doesn’t have the email name that’s from the gaijin side. 

 

Basically, he know’s how to log in to star conflict, which was initially linked from gaijin to steam, and he plays from steam. 

He’s trying to access the forums, but it says that his username is already taken, Which is Dragonfox. the username he has right now under the forums - Stormchaser34374, which was his initial in-game name before he switched it to Dragonfox. He wants the account under Dragonfox. Is it under the steam email, or the gaijin email, or are both one and the same?

I’m unsure about how to word this, but what’s wrong here?

 

As a further note -  He’s trying to access the forums, but it says that his username is already taken, Which is Dragonfox. <<< I tried to change my profile name* -  (this is a message from Dragonfox)

 

He only just logged into his Gaijin forum account today, so his current forum username (Stormchaser34374) joined the forums today. 

There are no members on the forums under Dragonfox, so my only conclusion is that it is his in-game name that holds the position. What email is linked to Dragonfox. How can he access these forums under that name?

This has to be the most annoying product of Steam Account Link services in the history of Steam Account Link services.

If anybody have problems with account then he should call to support

Hmm. I wonder… I played star conflict on linux. Do you guys update the linux client to Ping the site?

Looking back on the conversation, I should simply state this - Both the steam and the gaijin account are under the same email. Both are linked; However,

the current forum account under Stormchaser34374 does not appear to have any affiliation with his actual star conflict account under Dragonfox aside from being the original name of the account,

 or, at least, this is my suspicion.

Storm’s current forum account, logged in with the same email the steam account does, will likely not log into the forum account within the game but the steam account. Assuming that this is true, there is an amount of unusual complexity and out-right confusion in this one. I’ll ask more about it tomorrow.

So I logged into this email+pw via the SC launcher rather than just using Steam, and it pops up the same account Steam automatically logs me into anyways.  Which means this account IS my star conflict game account.  But, it doesn’t have the same profile name as my in-game account and when I check the Gaijin profile stuff, it only shows me the one purchase I made before using my one free alias change in-game.  >.>
