Homeworld Remastered is live today!

Well, if you are over your thirties and you are into sci fi games, then you had played Homeworld and Homeworld 2 for sure.

It is a game that it is as good, that after 12 years the only way to launch a game with the same quality and story arc is… well… to remaster the game and launch it AGAIN!

For only 30 € in steam you will have access to the two original games AND a remastered version of both of them, with new graphics, UI improvements, polished Hi Fi sound and the same thrilling gameplay and story arc.

This is truly the best example of a game being as good, that a simple graphics overhauling is enough to make it looks as a new 2015 game, but with all the old games strengths. Good plot, good mechanics, polished gameplay and hardcore difficulty.

Mothership ready to launch!

Already downloading it.

Preloaded already.

Will have something to do while waiting for blocking lower tiers in T5…

Played it throughout the weekend. Is it just me or the small changes in mechanics for Homeworld 1 made the campaign a lot easier? Seemed harder in the original version, now i’ve just breezed through the campaign with no ship losses mostly.

The ui improvement is what I liked most. Concerning the difficulty, I suppose it is that now you have more experience.

Wierd that there are not more people posting here, guys if you like space games, Homeworld is THE MASTERPIECE. How can you miss on it?

It’s expensive :frowning:

I’ve been fooling around with the multiplayer this weekend. Fun stuff, specially since you can play with Homeworld 1 races vs Homeworld 2 races.

I bought it. Seems to have a lot of good reviews, and looks very fun.

It’s expensive :frowning:

its worth every euro…that sucker is a classic

Mothership ready to launch!

Been playing for a few hours today, I love it! It reminds me of star wars empire at war, except much much much better. Graphics are awesome, but polygon count could be increased on ships, a bit more 3d details.

fer, we need to play it sometime.

The polygon count is the original, they just added hi res textures I think. But it is still great.

Played a big battle with a friend, had 8 players and tons of ships all being rendered. I take back what I said about polygons xD

It started to lag, and I have an i7 4790k, and hd 7770 2gb. Quite the battles for sure though.

Maybe we should organise some multiplayer action if you wish, this weekend or sometime

By the way, in the launcher you also have the original versions, check the textures on the original homeworld 1  It’s a game from '99, but in my opinion it’s still the BEST space strategy game by far. Awesome music, good graphics, good atmosphere, good mechanics, and it’s all actually in 3D and not mostly on a 2d plane.

I am up for that! Sounds like some fun too me.
