I suggest that in invasion, the home station’s hangar doors are made penetrable and the docking bubble is extended into them. It’d be really cool to come in off of a long interstellar voyage and then silently coast into the hangar, turn, put it down on your favourite pad and then hit dock

That’s why I like the empire home base, because I can “land” on the platforms outside, press interact and it feels like I have actually landed
But +1 to your idea!

it wouldn’t be a difficult thing to do, making one wall noclip and the rest stay solid
The only problem is that the hangars are scaled down a ton compared to whats inside the hangar.

you can still fit an inquisitor S or two in there
How about you go into the hangar, then it loads a scaled up version and you can fly around in the hangar? Then you can choose a dock.
Yes, yes. Make the game feel more like in a movie… like anyone would imagine a space flight. BUT FIRST! Finish up this dreadnought project thingy.

Well of course! I think star conflict should focus on small things only after dreadnoughts come out, like little annoyances, and such. And just small features like chat colors, notifications, etc.
It is a really nice idea, but not planned in the near future.
+1, well why not?

I’d imagine there are other ideas they have planned to take place first, and by the time they finish those plans they may forget about this idea. Whether it’s due to potential issues or optimisation problems or whatever.
One of the sad facts of video game development is the fact that you’re going to have to drop at least 90% of your ideas.
I followed your request to the Developers, we might implement some changes and work on animation especially, however it won’t be soon and it would take some time.

that’s alright, it would add something nice to the game and smooth off the “edges”
