Title. Been getting heavy spikes of packet loss and ping spiking up to 2000+ for a couple of seconds at time for a couple of days now.

RU and SE Asia servers are the actual worst for everyone but those in the particular areas.
Generally I try to set my server to EU for the most part because it is heavily populated and actually has decent connection.
Hell yeah you bet the Russian servers are laggy AF! I’m connected to the servers in Russia, which is approximately 6,364 km from Malaysia. Much better ping when compared to Europe’s 9414.37 km, you think? Nope. Just take a look at the picture below. 2500 ping. Compared to Europe’s easy 300 ms, I don’t think it’s even worth connecting to Russian servers anymore. What do you think?
The russian servers are only there to serve the Russians. There are too many outgoing network problems with Russia for the rest of the world to have a decent connection.

Average ping from a machine located in EU, 1500km from the RU datacenter is 43 ms and requires 8 hops. Russia has very good connection for the rest of the Europe. Heck, even from 3300km (as the crow flies), going through few under sea cables I have ~70ms ping. Dunno how did you get that “There are too many outgoing network problems with Russia for the rest of the world to have a decent connection.”

I’d love to see the traceroute of that connection ”)
I have ‘All servers’ and the lowest ping is 81. Before this, about a year ago the ping was about 31.

Sometimes problem is in router, try to update it or just try to restart is perhaps it will work.
But,
My ping didn’t change for years now,
EU around 40
RU 1 around 65
RU2 80-120 this is the bad one but didn’t get this for some time now
USA 140-150
then sometimes I get some server that has 180 pings, but I didn’t check what region it is
and finally
East Asia server with 380 ping
Red ones are totally unplayable for me - no ship control whatever.
I noticed sometimes I get hick up in game and screen freezes even in spec ops where we don’t have hot joining
But the worst thing is when people get hot joined, then the game totally freezes for sec or two.
Must be coding problem since no other game have this that I play. (even if Niri provided somewhat of solution - that should not be permanent one)
