C#mon sunny, I know you don’t mean it! They testing what would be if they level all ranks of ships, have PvP open for all ranks (lets say safe newbee ranks 1-4) to introduce a new ranking system for pilot achievements (that will effect the new mm).

what should exist is a general overhaul, yes. but actually the resistance bonuses are quite a fair solution. the damage bonus isn’t really feelable.

 

again this is just a scapegoat topic. people are angry, and they blame stuff. even things that are actually in their favor.

i know this maybe hurts, and i dont say this lightly, but you are simply wrong with this. the only other solution is a complete revamp of the logic how ships gain their base stats. removing the buffs will only make the game less balanced.

 

anyway, why keep bringing this up in every discussion now.

since the weapons and ships are weaker, it does not affect as much as some of you say it does. i use r12 because of their smaller model size a lot, and use one r10 fit to optimize my proxy mortar, which is r12, otherwise i would use it in r15 ships, since this option exists. orelus e.g. was called strongest gunship now, but its rather because of the long range beam and available reworked modules from a lot more ships since it has ranks above and below, it actually still dies faster than a spark, it just usually plays now further away, so the buffs do nothing in that regard.

i understand perfectly why people bring these points. i dont completely agree with all of them totally, but they have merit, or at least i can remember when i saw stuff like that happening.

I just dont blame the players at all, i dont think there is a secret way to do it, i just think the mm is bonkers, and i think the answer was just a joke

True, it’s not the best solution, but it’s better than nothing. However, there is a better solution!

 

The Matchmaker should match people of the same Rank range, but in order for this to work, we would probably need 20 ranks instead of 15 or a different system.

There are not enough people playing only R10-12 range. And also, I was complaining about this since the beginning.

This change left many players unsatisfied, and they have left the game. Fewer players mean lower chances for the MM to optimize the matches.

 

All I know that I thought that Rank 15 will be slightly different and slightly better in terms of survival.

Well, thanks to these changes, I could say that lower Ranks are often more lucrative than the highest ones.

Secret Project ships are practically worthless while Premium ships are favored over them. That’s not right as well.

oh so they hid the under ranked damage boosts, ok cool, guess it’s back to low ranks in high rank games.

Here’s what I guess: Ship ranks will be much more transparent/open/permeable than in the past. I am speaking of the future, why? Here’s what they wrote in the [patch notes to the v1.5.0a “Journey”](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/35449-star-conflict-150-journey/) of SC (emphasis by me):

In two games I was only one (r7-9) in game that rest of players had just R12-15 (80% wasR14 and R15)ships.

Played 8 games won one I’m using unleveled Diamond Dwarf as new player will do with white and green modules.

 

No chance to win.

 

So here we go again MM that implement ships from R7-15 SU CK

Unplayable = Beginner unfriendly 

Beginner unfriendly = Fast quit and fast give up

Fast quit = Low number of players

 

Low number of players = RIP GAME

I can give you little more stats since you are collecting them,

I started to play with 12 friends this, 8-10 were playing every day this game. Remember we had tiers then.

Since this sh it with immortal Tharga and new MM started just two of us stayed.

 

You se the pattern?

and players came back with it aswell. if someone leaves because of this change, it’s an excuse. there are many changes that happened, that are far worse, this is, as said, one of the best things we got.

most people completely ignored this for a long time, i used them, and of course i noticed others doing it, but it wasnt many

i also know people who protested first, but after trying it out, actually embraced this change. it shows how fast people become volatile, instead of reasonable.

not that it changes much, if someone wants to quit and just looks for a trigger, and i bet there were other reasons too.

there never will be, because why would you stay in that range…?

also some ships, like gargoyle or dart, are waaaaay too strong for their own tier. they fit well into r15, with their lower rank being a handicap.

also, r12 was always usable in r15 (i remember that milf and me encountered each other while i was in a sawtooth, killing each other, which was one of my first games when i completely switched to t5 and left t3 for good). i already had all r15 by then, and it was before there were bonuses, and before the sawtooth was buffed. flying a r12 in t5 was like flying a r7 or r8 in classic t3. i miss classic t3.

that really depends on what you want to do. and i dont see anything wrong with that. in the end the r10-r12 have their downsides aswell; I mostly like them because of their size, or fits, no other r13-15 has. also the choices in r13-15 are few.

 

i do have to add, i am disappointed with the special module releases, as i would have expected r13-r15 to get more variety of them to choose from, but maybe that will come later on.

Also, the change of implants was a later add-on, originally the bonuses looked like a substitution for them

It is easy to test with premium ship with full leveled modules.
