Guard class: Some passive/active modules with debuffs trigger Criminal status on their own!

Bug report: (Open Space - passive/active Guard modules trigger Criminal status without station protection)

 

 

When a player with a Guard with one or more such passive/active modules come to any neutral target (orange marker) that player will automatically get the Criminal status.

All passive/active modules from other classes are probably affected by this in Open Space.

 

When Station Protection is enabled (On), you will still get messages that Station Protection has blocked all damage. This is tied to this bug and it affects all listed modules below.

Pulsar module - It also instantly triggers Criminal status, if a neutral (orange) player comes in its range.

Even when Station Protection is set to ‘On’, you will get this message, when using any or all of those modules, in passive or active mode.

All 3 modules are causing damage that is blocked by Station Protection.

To test a bug without Station Protection enabled - (Off):

1.) Select a Guard with all of the modules described above. (Mass Propulsion Inhibitor, Signature Masking, Pulsar)

2.) Invite a friend to your group and disable your Station Protection - (Off). Same for your friend!

3.) Undock at the same server instance or location.

4.) Remove your friend and yourself from the group, once in Open Space, so that both players become neutral targets. (orange player marker)

     (Enter + right mouse click, select proper option to remove your friend and yourself/leave group, directly in Open Space).

5.) You friend should approach your ship - Guard and the range of its modules. Once in range, bugs will trigger.

 

To test a bug with Station Protection enabled - (On):

Same steps as described above, with one exception. Your friend should have his Station Protection enabled - (On). (blue player marker)

If done properly, he will see this: Station protection has blocked all damage.

Yes. This is totally happening STILL. Tested with Koro and it works. Passive functions of active modules trigger criminal status over and over.

Can this effect be happening with engi drones, too? I had some strange instances when I got criminal but couldn’t recognize why.
