The Gravi Wave can sometimes bypass the shield collision damage implant because it ‘keeps’ pushing for a short while. This will force you against a wall multiple times in rapid succession, which can kill even jericho guards with full shields.
A possible change that could fix this:
The Gravi wave could apply an instantaneous impulse to enemy ships while also disabling their thrusters for one second. Enemy ships would still drift away from the Waz’Goz at the same speed, but they wouldn’t get forced into a wall more than once.
Keep gravi wave as is It’s very lucrative for people who want to feel good about themselves and are willing to pay for it. In fact, you should release a premium version as well as a version on the next alien ship, preferrably a the end of the tree so people will drop 300-400$ quickly to max the ship and get it.

Why… how can you approve of an item that in some maps creates 50% deadzone where you can never be without running the risk of being oneshot, regardless of the ship and implants you are using. (There is literally 3 ships that can survive this thing (Thar’ga, Tai’kin, Waz’got (using emergency stasis systhem)) and then they will have fun with a stun lasting forever).
Also the kinetic damage is way to high… enough to at least down the shield of a fed covops circling you… seems fair.
Better would be:
adjustment of kinetic damage to the target
full protection from collision damage during the effect and 0.5 sec after it ended
So that way it could no longer be abused.

if this module creates 50% deadzone zone, then equivalent module on destroyer creates a 100% deadzone (3k range)? Sorry I never got killed by this module and I was hit multiple times by it on different ships ranging from taikin via covops, gunship, tackler to guard,LRF and destroyer (that last one on purpose - Waz’got warped to me just to be changed to plasma ball - got 8k damage by this module). Seriously - how hard can it be to kill a single waz’got, which even cannot self-heal properly?

Easy: Gravi wave is just good module and does more good than bad in overall gameplay. It is hard now to fly or sneak/cloak up to an engi and try to easy-kill-farm it. Engi has some chance now!

i wish engineers got gravi-wave or that cpu mod that heals allies when an enemy dies nearby instead of that coolant distributor thingy though,

fiiiiiinaly someone agrees with me, i wish it would reduce heating rate for everyone in a 2km area, that would at least make it feel like a support item

No - Niripas also said so, I know he tested the Wazgot extensively…
all they have to do, is grant immunity or resistance to collision damage to those who get pushed. Maybe also make it not work through walls or debris (needs unbroken line of sight) that way people have a skill based option to evade it, and now you have an area denial ability that still requires you to aim and shoot.
The aim and shoot portion of the game is very important to me, and many other players who value their skills. Having an iwin button in the game, or some form of extreme crutches is an insult to both skill and competition. I’ve also given up on this game ever being balanced. I know I have a spark and I shouldn’t be whining about balance but the spark is great with guns that are otherwise too weak to use. Sure I can go hard meta and participate in killing the game but I can also enjoy a large amount of content that would otherwise go unused and still manage to make people not want to play. I get so much hate for the flux phaser and it’s always from people who don’t understand its weakness.

Plasma Web? Repelling beam? Gravi Lense? Particle Purge? Just to name a few. Plasma Web works through the obstacles, Repelling beam has twice the range of Gravity Wave and similar effect and needs to be just pointed in general direction. Gravity Lense and Repelling Beam can kill via collision damage as well. Gravity Wave has a massive cooldown and it can kill you only if you are less than 1km from the source AND basically touching the obstacle. Basic map awareness makes this module useless, because in all other cases my 5k HP interceptor gets 1k damage and that’s it. And I do suck flying interceptors…

you can counteract it if you “push” against the push with your own propulsion but i’ve seen frigates, destroyers, fighters regularly get collision killed via an engineer hiding behind something because they’re too slow to compensate for it or because it’s a confined space. Monolith remains and I think complex alpha are really good examples of where it can be ridiculously strong.
I’m also for plasma web, repelling beam, gravi lens, and particle purge getting los detection, and for the associated “forcefully moving your ship” abilities from preventing an easy no skill victory through their use by rendering immunity or reducing collision damage by either adding such a status or by reducing the rate of the push/pull. I would prefer the former because I think the area denial and cc ability of such skills is very useful at their current rates and I think reducing them would severely deminish their effectiveness unless the rates varied based on the “mass” of what was getting pushed or pulled, thus making things like gravi wave more of an interceptor and fighter repellant and less of a one shot button for large slow ships when used around debris. Single target abilities can remain effective vs large target. The only exception is gravi lens, because it creates a “black hole” so naturally vehicles with more mass should be affected more than light vehicles.
The other day while I was in the PvP open space sector Collapsed Laboratory for the Xenoships missions (to kill 2 ships and 5 players). I got gang raided in my Waz’Got by 3-4 [STORM] pilots in interceptors and fighters. I was close to the structures near the warp gate to Station Guardian-17. We fought heavily and the tackler and Ellydium interceptor lured the Aliens and the Bounty Hunter on me while hide and seek and nerfed me with modules and weapons.
One [STORM] player was circling me, chasing me, and trying to kill me. I tried to kill him first and he had weak shields and hull…
And he crashed and exploded two times in succession when he collided with some structure – me not using Gravy Wave at all!! I got 2 kills because of these flying accidents of his!!
One cannot blame everything on the Gravy Wave module, which is fine as is and should not be altered. Using this module on my Waltzing Mathilda Waz’Got build, I must say that it is seldom the ships get destructed by crash. Best use of it is to push very close (strafe, circling) enemies into the proper range for defense with a missile barrage. The developer who invented this module is a genius in my view, because its loke in the martial arts: you push the close by enemy away with both your palms and then give him a smack with a more range leg attack putting him down.
Collision compensator. Thank me later.

Wazgot does not win battles, good pilots do.
riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. 3 minutes of domination around 8v8 battle, the enemy ships get facemauled, the counter is almost 200-980. then wazgod joins the enemy team and parks on the middle beacon, poops station and all of a sudden noone dies on the enemy anymore and the beacon cant be approached cause the station lets you in 5 secs of nevermisslazor. than all that 200-950 painfully ticks away down to 200-0 cause the whole team cant focus enough a single target without it being saved by the wazgod of heals and you cant cap because there is a clusterfuk on the middle beacon that just shifts to where the allies spawn. yup we had an emp engi on the team, healed and fought well but nope, cant compare with his holiness the wazgod ”) what was so good about the skilled pilot you ask? well absolutely nothing, still had xxxx scode in the end of the match and didnt really do anything besides teleport ppl back to him, poop stations and hug the beacon. in comparison our engy healed like mad, still somehow managed to fight in the mean time. cheers for another great loss!!

Sorry to break it to you, but if you could not zone away a wazgot from a beacon, for a whole 950 points, either he was really good, or your whole team was tards, like a SnerpDogg for example. Just because the whole team uses some stupid ships build and dies at the beacon from wazgot like lemmings, unable to produce a single thought that maybe it is not working and need another approach, does not mean WazGot is broken.

If enemy team had a Waz’got as a healer and your team had any proper healer (Brokk, Naga) then - yeah. Enemy team was better since Wazgot has crappy heals and it’s not even tank like them…
