I’ll just list mine off the bat, feel free to bring out your own.
Loose does not = lose.
Looser does not = loser.
Loose = This knot is fairly loose.
Looser = This particular knot is looser than the fairly loose knot.
Lose = you will lose this battle.
Loser = You loser, you lost that battle.
Please don’t mix these up again…
“does not =” does not equal to “does not equal to”
Haha, indeed. You caught me there.
Though, it may or may not be equal to proper grammar. It’s a marriage between math and language, at least in my own mind; Although, it’s certainly not correct grammatically.
I’ll just leave it as it is for the visual effect. Muahahaha~
Everything said by Americans ever. It’s all wrong, always, and without exception. :004j:
But yeah, the use of the phrase “could care less” is really, really dumb. You might as well respond by saying “I could drink a glass of water”, since both statements have about the same significance to whatever you’re talking about.
Also, sort of related, idiots who don’t understand that you are allowed to use non-English words when talking about things, especially when said word is a name. I had a guy claim I “proved” I was a Muslim because I used “Djinn” instead of “Genie”.

That’s because it should be phrased “I couldn’t care less”. I think I have heard it used the wrong way more that the right way. You are correct.
