Ticket submitted an being worked on. I asked here incase this was happening to anyone else.
Alright, just launch the game.exe that is in the Steam folder (do not launch through Steam) and sign in. Problem fixed.
If you use the following as launch property in steam, it has the same effect. Also works on the pirate ship packs:
