Give us special project ships with multi-ship-type-module-functionality!!!!!!!!

As per the old system, but make it better. You can even make this T6. 

This includes all weapon types for any class. All of it will be equip-able on any ship, as well as all active and passive modules. 

Special modules on any single frigate will be available to be put on any frigate.

Special modules on any single fighter will be available to be put on any fighter.

Special modules on any single interceptor will be available to be put on any interceptor.

They clone you, put you on a new ship and send you back into battle. The whole process is a matter of seconds, and you do not even notice that you’re living in a new body. Therefore, the ships are not equipped with rescue capsules.

+99999 to having multi-role ships. I’d die for an LRF/Engi or a Tackler/ECM combo.

If you mix the roles, people will create incredibly OP ships. Think about a gunship with a Covert Ops Plasma ark and Statis generator/engine suppressor. Or a command that has the engies’ regen abilities.

 

It would be fun, but completely unbalanced.

Yeah, precisely why 0.8 Has happened, we actually were able to do this - GunShips with Valk and Resists auras, every inty with a stasis, every frigate with a Pulsar and so on

I remember a game version, when I started to play Star Conflict, where the axe had phase shield… 

 

But I never liked the decision to split the weapon variety into the different ship classes. It would be fun to have an LRF with scattergun. 

I think, if done carefully and tested extensively (ie: public test servers) you could have limited overlap. But not absolute overlap. Certain combinations would be game breaking.

Note, there should’nt be any frigate active modules able to be used on other ship types. Same with fighter, same with interceptors. There are limits, after all.
