Lol man. Have you ever considered that people who play this game for years have no desire and no need to be in any leaderboards? Just because he doesnt exist in your timezone doesn’t mean that you can post such crab.
It’s ok man, Ion beams are good, we all have that phase.
That is just the most arrogant xxxx you could say, period.
I really don’t value your opinion. I’m sorry.
Clearly no experience using gauss in t5, obviously the tier where all tournaments are held + dreads take place is just the levelling path.
nice pun. Tournaments and dreads should be held at T5 because T3 is in the leveling path of new players and encouraging long time players to play in that bracket results in the unreasonable and unsportsmanlike farming of people in unleveled ships with unleveled equipment and no idea what they are doing. It’s why I don’t play in T3 anymore. It feels bad when I do that to people and the win rate and k/d you garner from farming such players is worthless, and worst of all you can make them quit. I would blame the devs if the community wasn’t so small for allowing this to happen but I understand their desire to reduce queue times and it is one I also happen to agree with even if it causes me the occasional late join defeat before I spawn resulting in zero credits.
And now we are right back where we started… Why come to the forums to ask for help when all you do is say our advice/feedback/opinions is of no value to you?
Cr0 is one of the best T5 player out there, end of the story. If he speaks about one of his favorite roles (gunship) and fav weapon (gauss, or anything long range weapon like phaserzzzz) everyone should listen.
That said. That damn spark is so frikking good that all you need is good dps on medium/high distance and some “mobility” to gtf out. Every damn weapon is good on it. You can mount 2 pulse discharger and stil being secure energy side if you play “from distance”. If anyone approach, speed boost and go back to your team (combat reboot if you need). Add to that 3 cpu slot and a decent hull tank and that’s it.
If you play like that: strafe is more effective than rotation, since for no reason at all you should dogfight with a good skilled ceptor fighter.
The key is constant moving with strafe, while it don’t affect your aim, it for sure affect enemies. Add to that some good missile like fast em thinghy and that’s it.

I have figured all of this out on my own, It’s just that I pursue objectives more than kills and the turnspeed secures me kills around beacons more than stacking strafe. I can have the strafe implant and verniers and do more than fine.

Indeed indeed. It depends on situation: for example soloing in a team battle or in a combat recon the long range/strafing gauss it’s fun and effective.
For gamemodes with objectives it’s not so good if you don’t have the proper team.
But i can assure you that on every gamemode, with the right squadmates it’s still effective (apart bombing game, which is the most fast-paced gamemode).
