There is a big problem in the balance of rewards between PvE and PvP.

A PvE match takes ~3-4x longer than a PvP match (on average, some are much faster, others slower) because it has more rounds compared to a single pvp game.

PvP win reward is almost same cash, MUCH higher reputation, and chance of loot.

PvP loss reward is less cash, still much higher reputation, and no loot.

PvE win reward is high cash, guaranteed single T2 mk2.5 loot (haven’t seen any T3 or other here), and very low reputation - about 30% less than losing pvp.

PvE loss is low cash (less than pvp loss), some chance of loot, and little to none reputation.

This is not very balanced - if you want cash or reputation, pvp is always better, even if you lose every single match, because you can play at least 2 matches in the time it would take to do a pve game; pve is ok if you win, because of loot chance, but once you are using T3 ships this loot becomes worthless and only a thing to sell for some small amount of cash. PvE reputation rewards are abysmally low, especially since you aren’t guaranteed a win.

Basically this game completely discourages pve, and the only time to do it is if you have a friend new to the game and want to get them some loot? though again if they pvp they would just get more cash so they could buy what they need instead of random item instead.

Some balancing here is needed.

I didn’t realize you only got T2 stuff from PVE even if you were higher tiers. I figured it scaled as you rose in tiers. Like if you were T3 you’d fight harder enemies and get T3 loot. Now that I know it’s mostly T2 rewards…well that makes me want to NOT do PVE so much anymore. Also, ranking are too slow for PVE. Totally agree with that.

Well we’ve been playing with T3/4 ships and still getting T2 loot… the only T3/4 loot i ever got was from random salvage in pvp.

someone make a comprehensive manual. and include this

Anyone can please point me to a post or web where they explain how you gain points in game ? I mean, I want to know how many points is every action, like in Combat Reconaissance I know that killing the captain rewards 600 points… things like that. I’d love to have a list of all the points rewarded for every action for all the game modes in case points are different for each one.

I would also like to know how the final rewars (cash) is calculated at the end of the battle.

Hi! First time poster here and new to the game.  I have to say I am really enjoying the Regular PvP mode.

Question though:  Is there any chance new battle types will be added for Regular PvP?  Thanks!

New game modes will be added from time to time so we may also see some new on Regular.

Cool!  And thanks for the quick response

I would love to see a mode that is more about capturing and pushing through a Star System.

Phase 1:  Capture all the beacons.

Phase 2:  If phase 1 is completed by attackers, phase 2 commences.  Phase 2 is push to the enemy “Dreadnaught”(like the scenario) and destroy the main guns.

Phase 3:  If the main guns are destroyed, escort support battleship to the primary battle-lines, and the attackers win the scenario.

Then you switch sides and the defenders become the attackers.

This is a game mode in various FPS games and it is always one of the best.

You actually have the Scenarios already like some of these, just make them PvP!

I have a Question: Are there plans to implement different queues for squads and “random” people (no squads allowed) ?

I’m at a point where it get’s progressivly worse, as more and more corps are in the game. If there is a 4man squad of a corp or 2 2man squad of different corps on the enemy team without the same on my team the game is in 90% over before it even started.

I don’t want to join a corp because I like playing alone, but as it stands I’m getting tired being roflstomped by [RED], [sKY] squads etc.

I am logged in through my Steam account. I am able to access all game modes except for Practice. The error I receive is: “Unable to perform operation, Matchmaking error A license is required.” Where do I acquire a license?

This sticky deserves an update

Is the test thing out yet?

What test thing.

Nvm

Update in progress.

Was hoping you created official stickies for the different game modes so people dont have to discuss them in their own seperate threads.
