You should make a bug report.
It does work for me and a lot of other people.

16gb, but the game never allocates more then 1gb.
finally got in and did the quest … took like 50 tries … reminds me of Avatar cool looking place

Mh… It is probably the 2gb limit of 32bit applications in windows you are running into.
I just checked and on my machine (Linux) the game uses around 1270MB while beeing in pb 42, but I suspect that it needs more memory on Windows.

IIRC the game.exe is compiled with IMAGE_FILE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE flag set. So the limit is 3GB on 32 bit system and 4GB on 64bit and I think that’s the main reason why the support for 32bit Windows was dropped some time ago.
Those crashes usually have something in game.log and if they have something like "out of memory " or “unable to create vertex buffer” - that’s a good reason to make a proper bug report and let Skula do his magic.

They should just ship a 64bit executable at this point.

The last update sounded like they are fully aware of this bug and are working on it. There is probably already a bug report in the ru forum.

I got 6GB and a 64-bit OS. My memory is always at 65-80% while in the game. It could be some memory leak, or maybe I just need to reinstall my OS.
I haven’t reinstall it since I got my computer 9 years ago.
