game loads up fine

go play tuturial

go fire gun game freezes pc becomes unresponve

I have to use mobile phone to ssh in and pkill starconflict

how can I help find the problem ?

I attached all the logs from every attempt over the last few months of trying to get this game working

pretty much keyboard stops sound hits a loop and video freezes yet i can remotly acess pc to recover it

exceptions folder empty

[SClogs.zip](< base_url >/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=8790)

Is there amd proprietary drivers for you APU? And did you try it?

Their are but they cause waaay more problems then they are worth

if need be I could install to see if any difference but then my desktop will be broken amd proprietary drivers very unstable

*edit*

well that sucks game works with AMD’s drivers but then I have to put up with PC crashes and multi desktop glitches

aio@aio:~$ glxinfo | grep “OpenGL version”

any idea what could be fix’d with Mesa drivers ?

so far this has been the only program with Mesa Driver issues , apart from FPS drop

Is there any progress on that?

Almost no progress, cause we can not repeat this crash. We are working on perfomance improving and bugs fixing of our opengl render, maybe after this your crashes will be disapear. Maybe game generates core dump, if so, can you send it to us? it will be very usefull

The first thing in my mind is that the problems depends on a particle system, but i’m not sure on that.

Is there any progress? @ MasterCATZ

If no please provide full output of glxinfo as text file. Thanks

I have the same issue. Let me elaborate a bit more about it:

First, launching the game with High quality settings works great the first time. I get straight to the tutorial and I’m able to fly the ship around. Then, it crashes when shotting (will get back to this later).

On the second launch, the game hangs on the main menu after hearing the message welcoming you. At that point I get:

The game will only work at this point if I start with the graphics set to Low quality (did not try in particular which setting is the one causing the actual problem). With this settings I’m able to browse thru the game’s interface without problems. Then I can start the tutorial again.

The game then crashes when firing however it does not do so all the time. For example, I can shoot at the beginning of the tutorial and the game does not crash then. However, most likely a coincidence, if I do not shoot until the tutorial reaches the first target, then it hangs at that point.

Hello again!

Sorry for the late answer - I’m very busy at the moment.

Please export:

R600_DEBUG=hyperz

Or temporary try to Launch SC with this variable - open Console ->

cd “~/.steam/steam/SteamApps/common/star conflict”

or to your star conflict installation place and Launch StarConflict binary using

env R600_DEBUG=hyperz ./StarConflict

Tell me if this change any behaviour…

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. It still fails, are there any particular logs you’d be interested on? Here is a screen capture of the moment when it crashed this time.

Thanks!
