- reduce fuel consumption up to 5000en/1f, mainly because ships are like pickup trucks.
- Reduce fuel used on gates to 5%, and require 8% minimum.
Second idea
- Remove fuel all together, most likely won’t happen, but worth a shot.
it’s a pain and 50% of the time in invasion is just collecting fuel. It makes it less interesting, and you always need it when you are right in the middle of doing something, or you need to warp.
gate warp limit shoud be 10% to jump and 10% used, the worst thing is running to a gate at 26% fuel from a bunch of cartel out for your blood, arriving with 24% and loosing five light cells
Fuel use, i believe, should be active on tickover. something small to keep systems running, 0.5 % per minute.
Afterburners are also annoying, it’d be nice if they could come on in stages, like, low, medium, high, full power. This would allow higher than normal speeds to be obtained for long durations where fully afterburning wouldn’t be viable. I believe this used to be an option with the “afterburner re-activation” thing but yeah.
GASP we’ve mad space ships but don’t even have fuel efficiency! What is this star conflict virtual world coming to?!?!?!?!?
I say we make each ship have different fuel efficiency based on size. Of course that’ll never happen so i say 10% use to warp and 15% minimum at warpgates. that way you can warp roughly 9 times without refueling.
Another option would be to come out with a new premium ship called the prius…
i’d like to see fuel actually account for ship size, measured in litres rather than percent. Frigates take 300 litres, fighters take 150, inties take 100. The system would work as it always has, but it’d make more sense. Also, fuel canisters should be allowed to trickle flow into your main reactor and eject but not be scannable when at 0 automatically
yes but killing players is more fun they can drop some light cells in unknown sector
Everyone has their fun somewhere i guess. I don’t mind fighting other players in PVP matches but i tend dislike doing so in the open world; i prefer to help others than fighting them.

it’s like PvP, with unwilling victims, brilliant fun!

I guess i’m too “carebear” at heart to enjoy that. Give me missions, objectives or rewards for killing players, i would probably bother to fit a ship to do just that. Killing players just for the sake of blowing them up has little meaning for me, i feel no joy or sense of achievement blowing up careless or clueless players.

i don’t know about that, when doing a mission and a little newb gets too close (~4000m and closing or locks from 4000m), pew pew stay the hell away in future!
but of course, they don’t, the little butthurt comes back with their butthurt friends, all in t1 ships… easy meat. It’s when you kill a guy and the corp leader comes chasing you… that’s why i target players that aren’t in corps (apart from Apple, i enjoy killing apple because nobody comes to save them as of yet).
Best one is when you kill someone and they duplicator. Make them dupe over and over and over again. My record has been 2800 gs worth of duplicators from one guy flying an alligator mk2. Sat in the gate out of radar view and waited for his invulnerability to wear off. You think you’d realize you’re wasting a tremendous amount by then… I think they’re 200, i don’t use them unless I’ve crafted them.
Ambush with a cov-ops is another fun thing to do, wait around a corner for someone coming past, EM field on, run up behind them, Orion, Arc, Web, Kinetics, dead. Take loot, send loot, re-charge, re-position. Can be quite profitable :004j:
