I was in invasion and picked up a blueprint that I had already so I decided to give it away. I knew there was one player online from my corporation at that time but he didn’t answer so I tried asking pilots in the same sector where I was. It would have been much better, however, if I could give it to a friend but I didn’t know how to ask them.
A tab for friends only, like the corporate one, on the chat window would be so much help in these kind of businesses. Also in calling out for help, company, team assembly, etc. in invasion mode.
I think there is a console command to add it manually.
However, if someone is online, the chat box will show you, that it’s not even a proper nickname, unless if you give the proper nickname to a follow list first.
I am not sure, if I follow player command exist in Invasion is possible and if it actually works.
What is even more absurd is the fact, that if some player is offline at a time, you will still think that he is receiving your messages, if he is in your follow or friend list.
There should be a notification for existing players, which are offline. So far, you can still have purple text, but it’s basically useless, since no one reads it or sees it, but you.
Chat box should be one of the minor issues. We shouldn’t be aven talking about it after 3 years.
There could be so many easy and quick improvements made, but so far, we have to settle with primitive design of the chat box system. It works, it’s a bit better now, but it’s not just about functionality. We need more functions as well. It’s far from perfect. Amusing, but true.
