Problem is the sometimes raw translation into english which more than one time has obfuscated the very message.
It should be “… will be removed after the 18th of…” or “… will only be in the game up to the 18th … and removed …”

“18 января” - that is the problem it is not precise enough – could mean 00:01 MSK or 23:59 MSK or 00:01 UTC or 23:59 UTC
They usually upload the patches at 06:00 UTC. If they remove anything, they do that in the patch.
